Our story began with a pizza date at Trophy Pizza. The conversation flowed and we quickly connected over our shared love of hiking, traveling, and all things nerdy! The first couple months of dating was filled with baseball games, museum days, hiking, conventions, and our first vacation together to DC. As we spent more and more time together, our feelings got deeper and stronger. We became each other’s safe space to be our authentic selves; we are truly two halves of the same soul. On a long weekend trip to Brevard, Josh told Danielle he loved her in front of a waterfall. It was such a picture perfect moment! A fellow hiker saw us watching the waterfall together while embracing and told us “You guys are so cute, if you give me your phone I’ll take a picture of you!” Now we always have that picture to remember this special moment. During our ‘Spooky Virginia’ trip in October, Josh proposed! For her birthday, he gave Danielle a small box; inside was a beautiful blue seashell necklace. This was a replica of a Mermaid’s Pendant from the video game “Stardew Valley”. In this game, the farmer proposes to a townsperson by giving them that pendant. Danielle excitedly said “Yes!” and we are so excited to take this journey of life together as husband and wife!
