We are looking forward to having you join us for our wedding, and honored that you are willing to make the effort to travel so far from home. Castello di Magrano is not only an event venue, but a functioning castle with multiple bedrooms, kitchens, and common areas for guests. We chose this venue hoping that our loved ones could enjoy the time in Italy with us, beyond the wedding ceremony. There's space for a couple dozen guests to join us in the castle across the weekend for lodging, relaxation, and additional activities. As we get closer to the event there may be opportunities for you to opt-in to activities such as truffle hunting, cooking class, massages, and more.
4:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks. If you wish you match the color palette, you can dress in burgundy, plum, olive, cream, or charcoal tones or accents.
Travel Note
Our venue, the Castello di Magrano, can most easily be reached by the major airports in Rome and Florence followed by transfer by train or car of 2.5-3 hours. There is a smaller airport in Perugia nearby that is closest, but does not have as many incoming flights. Private transfers from Perugia, Assisi, or Gubbio via taxi are approximately €30-50 each way and can be arranged via taxi or through the castle. Ask us if you would like to use the property's transfer service for 40-50 euro. You can explore your travel options on Rome2Rio.com
Travel Note
We have rented the entire Castello di Magrano May 1-4 for the wedding and to have time with our loved ones traveling so far to join us. The castle sits on over 1400 acres of land and has a pool, mountain bikes for exploring, an armory, and a small chapel. For pictures of the venue and rooms, click the link below.
Yes, please be patient with spotty WiFi in a medieval castle courtyard. We will do our best to make it work, and if the zoom fails, we will happily share video when we return! Ceremony starts at 4:00 PM italy time, so 8 AM mountain. https://uetn-org.zoom.us/j/2405231567?pwd=ek9PMHdXSXpvRkFvZ1ZtazNWMnk1UT09
No, unless you have specific snacks, treats, or supplemental items you would like to bring. We will provide a stocked kitchen, staff-supported breakfasts, and meals for guests.
There are 15 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms in the castle. Each room has access to a blow drier. There are laundry services (washer, drier, iron, clothing steamer), two kitchens, on-site parking, piano, ping-pong, and a pool.
There's a WhatsApp chat that any guests can join where I will update with as close to real-time updates as possible. Updates will also make it here, to the FAQ page, but if you have questions or want to coordinate with other guests, this chat would be best. https://chat.whatsapp.com/JGuYSptFIAZ7o9anwIhFoK?mode=gi_t
