Charlotte Douglas International Airport or Tri-Cities Airport

The closest airports to fly into will be Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) which is just over two hours south of Twickenham House and will have plenty of rental cars. The other option is to fly into Tri-Cities Airport (TRI) which is just under two hours but will have less options.

Travel Note

Car Information

Twickenham house is located at the top of a small relatively steep mountain so it is recommended to use a vehicle that has 4WD or AWD. However, due to the time of year there SHOULD NOT be any snow on the ground and any car should be able to make it up the path. An SUV, Van, or Truck would still be recommended due to the uneven nature of the road up the mountain which may have a few places of uneven clearance.

Everyone is welcome to stay on the property at Twickenham House unless they would prefer to make other accommodations at a nearby hotel in Jefferson, NC. Feel free to view their virtual tour website below to see if you want to stay on property or not. The main house and guest house will sleep up to 75 people. Once the total headcount is locked in we will begin dividing rooms so that everyone can be as comfortable as possible.
