Travel

For lodging, we recommend searching AirBnb and VBRO for vacation rentals. Darien is a charming town, and there are many affordable options within a few miles of the venue. You will find a few hotels in Darien, along with several inns and bed and breakfasts, as well as options in nearby Brunswick and St. Simons. Savannah and Jacksonville, while farther away, are also excellent places to stay with lots to do, if you don’t mind making the drive for whichever wedding events you plan on attending over the weekend. If you are interested in flying in or out for the wedding, Savannah and Jacksonville both have international airports (Brunswick has a regional one). Darien is about a 4.5 hour drive from ATL. While rooms at Emma’s Driftwood Farms are currently full, please keep in mind that all our guests are welcome to join us on property, to enjoy its amenities and spend quality time for the entire weekend. Please reach out to Dani with any questions you have regarding lodging or travel.

FAQs

Question

Is it OK if I can’t make it to all of the events?

Answer

Of course! The Friday and Sunday events are not mandatory, and we completely understand if you can’t make them. Just remember to RSVP to each event, so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is a large field right next to the venue. While well kept, it is still grass, so we advise that a single guest park after unloading their passengers, particularly in the case of rain. Please car pool whenever possible, and please do not drink and drive (ride shares are available).

Question

Do we need to bring anything?

Answer

If you plan on swimming: your swimsuit, towel, pool toys, and sunscreen (daytime). If you plan on fishing: your gear (outside of event hours, please). If you plan on hanging: your own booze. We will provide drinks during events, but supplementation is much appreciated.

Question

Is the venue gated?

Answer

Yes, the venue is on a large, gated property. You will receive a notification on/closer to the date that includes a gate code and instructions. Follow the signage to the venue.

Question

What kind of activities are on property?

Answer

Check out Emma’s Driftwood Farm’s website for more information about the property.
