We met at the barbershop just having a regular conversation amongst everyone in there and he said I would like to take you out and get to know you and he asked about my son who was there and a mutual friend told him how well mannered my son was and me recently coming out of failed relationship I said “ Look if you’re on some BS I don’t have time nor am I the person for you “ lol we continue to have small talk until we were leaving and he walked me and my son out to the car and said “ Ms lady I’m not on any BS and I do have myself together and I want to get to know you and I gave him my number and I left. I think he called me a couple of days later and we talked briefly and he called me on a Sunday when I got off work and wanted to go eat and talk lol so I said fine I met him at Texas Roadhouse somewhere I never go especially on the east side of Indianapolis. Well from then on we saw each other every day and me him and Aidan went out just about every day but I had my guard up and so did he and the crazy thing is we knew all of the same people but never crossed paths. He had been hurt from his previous relationship so we were 2 broken people trying to help one another and although he got on my last nerve I didn’t give up on him and he asked me why I liked him so much and it definitely wasn’t because of what he had accomplished but I seen more in him as a man and I asked him DO YOU LOVE GOD? And he said YES and I said do you want a healthy relationship and he said YES and then I asked him did he want to be married and have a family and he said YES and my final question was Do you honestly feel like you deserve someone to love you for you because you deserve someone who loves you and respects you and that would have your back but if you don’t think you’re worth it then I’m not for you and you’re not going to waste anymore of my time because I’ve lost too much time dealing with people who didn’t deserve me or my time.. and the rest is history! So we met February 20,2024 and I moved in with him October and we got engaged November 16,2024 and we’re getting married July 19,2025 It wasn’t easy but we put GOD and one another first and kept moving forward and here we are today happy together healing together and loving each other! We are whole our family me Damon and Aidan. God knew exactly what we needed. I needed someone to love me with Agape love and Aidan needed a father and Damon needed a family so it all worked out and we’re so grateful to have one another! GLORY BE TO GOD!
