Life takes you in a wild direction sometimes. I purchased a home and moved to Florida from Syracuse, NY 7 years ago. Mike purchased a home and moved to Florida from MIller Place, NY one year ago. The first time we met Mike was doing things in the yard of his new home and enjoying "happy hour" with our neighbor Greg that lives between us. I was also doing work in my yard and decided to do some catch up with Greg since I hadn't seen him in a while. That's when Mike appeared from Greg's garage to say hello and Greg introduced us. After some pleasantries we parted ways and continued on with doing our tasks. A week or two later again we met up in our neighbor's yard only this time it WAS for "happy hour." it was then that a spark had been lit between us. Needless to say, it wasn't long before we both were invested in getting to know each other more. After a couple months of dating, I will admit that I got scared and backed off from the blossoming relationship. After another month and several conversations later, we decided that we just couldn't be without each other and confessions of love appeared. All of our fears turned to hopes and dreams for the future that have continued to bloom and grow. On December 7, 2024 Mike and I went to Celebration FL for the Christmas snowfall event. Mike decided he wanted to take me on a carriage ride. I was content on going on the hayride, but that was not good enough for him to hatch his plan. Mike took me on the most beautiful and romantic Princess Pumpkin horse drawn carriage ride that I had ever seen in my life. We were looking at the Christmas decorations when the driver pulled on to Mulberry Street and stopped. Mike turned to me and asked me the question that every girl waits their whole lives to hear. Of course, I said yes. The driver took a bunch of pictures and then proceeded to announce to the whole town as we continued our journey back to the town square that we are now engaged. Everything just fell in place so easily for us. Our families have combined seamlessly. Everyone loves each other and we enjoyed the holidays as if we were always family. Our love story doesn't begin and end here. It will grow bigger and better as the days and years pass on. As it says on the top of our page Out of the blue came you. Noone was looking, but we found everything we need within each other.
