Blooming into forever

After spending freshman year of undergrad taking classes online, Curran moved to Allendale to start her second year at GVSU. Carter decided to transfer to Grand Valley after spending his freshman year taking classes at Umich Flint. Now at this point, Carter and Curran were strangers, but they both decided to lease apartments at Locale. With social distancing still preventing lots of normal welcome week activities, Curran decided to make a group chat for people who lived at the apartment complex to connect. She made her post on the GVSU class of 2024 Facebook page and hoped for the best. Among fifty something women, Carter was the only guy to reply. A small group of us decided to get together and play Uno at the clubhouse, and that's how Carter and Curran first met. A few days later, Carter offered to help Curran connect her TV to the WiFi. She politely declined the offer, not wanting a stranger in her apartment while her roommates were away. The next day, Curran's neighbor Nicole decided to invite people over for pong and frozen margaritas, and once again Carter and Curran both went. After being friends for a few months, Carter finally got the courage to ask Curran to be his girlfriend somewhere around midnight on January 15th, 2022. (They still can't agree which day is their anniversary).
