Our Story

The story begins as most epic romances do--over the course of a bad high school play. Cristina was an actress playing the goddess of death; Jay was a sound guy feverishly cueing gunshot effects. These two sophomores locked eyes during a Saturday drama festival, and instantly connected. After Jay asked Cristina out by crafting and gifting handmade duct-tape roses, the rest became history. Through years of long distance, hours of skype calls, and countless life changes, Jay and Cristina grew in their love for each other. Over the past few years, they have built a life in Somerville filled with music, memes, and the antics of a very cute dog named Luna. They are thrilled to be sharing this special moment with their friends and family and taking this next step in their lives as a couple into the future.

Semi-Formal: Suits and gowns are welcome, and so are cocktail dresses. If it is your fancy, wear your best gothic inspired look, go big or go home!

The ceremony will be on the lawn of the mansion, weather permitting, so be careful with stilettos.

For this occasion, we have booked a room block through Mill Falls in Meredith, which will be where we also hold the welcome party. Guests can use the link below to book their rooms at a discounted rate. Please note, the discounted rate will be for Thursday through Saturday. You will need to physically select the dates on the hotel's booking link as it does not automatically populate.

Boston Logan Airport (BOS)

Logan Airport is the closest major airport to the New Hampshire Lakes Region. Guests should know the airport is a 2 hour drive away from the Lake Winnepesaukee area. We recommend renting a car if you are planning to travel in through Logan.

Manchester Boston Regional Airport (MHT)

Manchester Boston Airport is a smaller regional airport about an hour drive away from Lake Winnepesaukee. While there are not many direct flights, there are some flight connection options which bring you in to MHT.

A shuttle will be running starting at 3:30 pm from the Mill Falls Hotel to transport guests to the Castle. For guests who choose to drive, there is guest parking available onsite. Once at the base of the property, it's a short trolley ride up the hill to the ceremony and breathtaking views.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible! In all seriousness, please RSVP by July 1, 2026.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend guests arrive at Castle in the Clouds Carriage house at 4:30 as they will need to be transported by trolley up to the Castle Mansion Garden.

Yes! Please list all dietary restrictions in your RSVP when prompted by the online survey.

While we love kids, we respectfully ask that only children that are expressly invited by the bride and groom are able to come to the ceremony and reception.

There is a parking lot available for guests who would like to drive directly to Castle in the Clouds. We do ask that you drive carefully as the road is more remote/less lit than most main roads.

Guests interested in learning more about the estate should feel free to visit and tour the grounds. There is also a great list of hiking trails as well that are located nearby!

For guests who want to leisurely enjoy the lake, there are lake cruises available to board throughout the weekend. Book early as tickets in August do sell out!

Weirs Beach

With old-style arcade games for the younger crowd and a great beachfront, Weir's Beach has a lot of fun options and fun board-walk style eats and shops. Nearby there are plenty of opportunities to rent kayaks and other boats.

Mount Major State Forest

For guests who enjoy the outdoors, there are a lot of hiking options! Mt. Major is one of the tallest peaks in the area, so bring comfortable shoes and enjoy!
