We met when we both took the plunge in pursuing our graduate degrees at Penn Graduate School of Education. It didn't take long before we by chance decided to pair up for a project together, roleplaying client and therapist (shout out to Hector and Loretta!). In between recording our therapy sessions in odd public places, we started to discover how much we have in common with our childhoods and interests in music and movies. We built a great friendship and created a lot of amazing memories together throughout our 2 years of graduate school. But it wasn’t until a few years ago that something sparked. It had been some time since we connected, but our mutual friend brought us together for a night out. We caught up, laughed and rapped along to one of favorite songs. From there on, it was a natural progression of the friendship and chemistry we’ve felt since sitting in Clark Park talking about how to write DAP notes, and we couldn’t be happier to take it further.

Most of the parking around Southside is street parking. If you are driving, public parking is now available just a short walk from SOUTH at the Giant Supermarket at Broad & Spring Garden Streets. The entrance to the parking garage is on 15th Street. To find the parking lot using your GPS navigation, the address is 555 N 15th Street. Parking is $12 when you enter after 5:00PM and exit before 5:00AM. (No validation is necessary. This is a published rate at the parking facility.).
Dress in your classy best! No athletic wear! I mean come on, it's a wedding guys :-)
Please let us know about any food allergies when you formally RSVP! Contacting one of us if you are worried is also good.
Most would recommend the art museum and famous Rocky steps, but if you want something more low-key but still inspiring then this will make for a great afternoon activity. And a break from the heat! The courtyard inside is a great place to sit a cold drink.
We love this spot on a weekend morning (shout out to Sam Noh!) because there's always space to sit and the menu is great for a casual breakfast or lunch with a coffee, tea, or smoothie.
It's legendary in Philadelphia for a reason (so many choices). We love Beiler's for donuts, The Dutch Eating Place for breakfast or lunch, and The Head Nut for great spices but you'll be sure to find what you're craving here.
This was one of our first dates :-) This is great rooftop park where you can bring your own food and drinks, a blanket, and enjoy the view. They always have lawn games, music, and occasionally a movie playing on the big screen as well!
We both love doing Pilates separately and together-you will usually find us here! Sign up for a mat or reformer Pilates or yoga class during the wedding weekend if you want a break and some intentional movement.
Taking a walk or renting a bike along this trail will lead you past the art museum and through boathouse row. It's a great way to get to know a different side of Philadelphia!
