September 20, 2025

New Castle, Colorado

We're getting married!

Mark your calendar for September 20, 2025 to celebrate with us in New Castle, Colorado! We know we're kind of in the middle of nowhere here on the western slope, so we totally understand if you can't make it. But if you're nearby, or feel like taking a trip to Western Colorado, plan on an evening full of tacos, margaritas, campfires, live music, dancing, games and fun.

Accommodations

The wedding and celebration will be held at Sunset Ridge, our property in the mountains just outside of New Castle, Colorado. We have plenty of space for you to camp here on-site if you would like to spend the night. See the camping section below for details. As for hotels and other accommodations. Elk Creek Campground is 1.8 miles down the road and they have small cabins and full hook-up RV sites. Downtown New Castle is 4 miles down the road and has two hotels and plenty of short term rentals available. And for even more options, Glenwood Springs is 20 minutes away to the east and has numerous lodging options and plenty of other things to see and do while you're in the area. The towns of Silt and Rifle are 15 and 25 minutes away to the west and also have hotels and short term rentals available.

Camping

The Wedding Website of Courtney Wheeler and Nick Woolley
This is all happening in our back yard and it's a pretty cool place to spend a night. We're on 14 acres of land with thousands of acres of wild public lands surrounding us. We have virtually unlimited tent spots and a good amount of space for RV's or trailers. No hookups are available but there is a full hookup campground 1.8 miles down the road (Elk Creek Campground). If you plan to camp on-site, please let us know so we can make sure you'll have a spot! And plan to join us for breakfast on Sunday morning before you leave!

Flights

For those booking flights, the nearest airport with frequent commercial flights is Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) which is about a 1 hour drive from here. The next closest option is Grand Junction (GJT) which is about 1 hour 20 minutes. Denver International Airport (DIA) usually has the best rates but it is about a 3 hour drive. If you fly in/out of Denver, we recommend timing travel to avoid driving back to Denver on Sunday due to heavy weekend traffic.

FAQs

Question

Do we have a registry?

Answer

No, we do not. We already have too much stuff! All we want from you is to see your smiling face, or even just a text or call to say congrats.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We're at 6200' in elevation and the average highs in mid-September average around 70 degrees with lows around 50.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Everything will be outside on the grass and around the pond, so dress comfortably and definitely leave those high heels at home! It's always a good idea to have an extra layer or two as the nights can get chilly. We'll be sure to have a fire or two burning to warm up next to.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Sorry, no. We love dogs but please leave yours at home for this event.

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please let us know by the end of July if you plan to attend.

Question

Where exactly is this?

At our home, Sunset Ridge. 1776 County Road 241 New Castle, CO 81647
