Our story starts with two kids behind a computer screen. We happened to be video chatting with a mutual friend at the same time via Skype. I thought he was mean and he thought I was annoying. Of course, I was 12 and he was 13, so this was a normal reaction. We started "dating" on July 11, 2011, over Skype, text messages, and the occasional phone call. We officially met in person for the first time two weeks later at the Legacy Hotel in Panama City Beach, Fl (with parental supervision of course). We spent the next 12 years experiencing so many amazing milestones as a couple. First, high school homecomings, proms, and graduations. Next came college, Auburn football games, and new lifelong friends from both Auburn and Valdosta. Then, college graduations, licensure prep, and adjusting to life back in our hometown. Finally, we started new careers and he popped the question! To say we are blessed is an understatement. Here is to the last 12 years and a lifetime of happiness!
