At last!

For over a decade, across cities and countries and continents, we have found in each other the inspiration, strength, and courage to pursue our ambitions. As we wrap our NYC journey and head to the West Coast, we are thrilled for our next great adventure. And we are delighted to start that adventure by formalizing, in the company of friends and loved ones, the bond we have forged over our years together. We look forward to seeing you there :)

Venue & Schedule

The Wedding Website of Leslie Bull and Cory Combs
Our venue will be the beautiful ThorpeWood, a 156-acre reserve in the Catoctin Mountains just north of Frederick. We always knew we'd get married in the woods. Even better, the venue fee for the lodge and ceremony site in these woods directly supports nonprofit work on environmental conservation and mental health. The wedding will begin in the early afternoon (precise time to be shared soon!), followed by festivities through the evening.

Leslie and Cory Get Married!

3:30 pm - 11:00 pm

The Lodge at Mountain Memories At Thorpewood
12805 Mink Farm Rd # A, Thurmont, MD 21788

We will have vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, as well as cocktails with and without alcohol! Please let us know if you have any allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Travel

The Wedding Website of Leslie Bull and Cory Combs
We wanted to make sure that those across the DMV area can drive in and back home on the same day. The site is 1.5-2 hours from DC proper and about half an hour north of Frederick. Those traveling are invited to spend some time before the event in downtown Frederick, which has a lovely shopping street and river walk. If you are coming from afar, we will be in contact directly about accommodations!

FAQs

Question

Is there a registry?

Answer

The registry is forthcoming, as soon as we figure out what life in LA is going to look like! Though we're very seriously looking at bows (and arrows)...

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We are scheduled to talk with our caterer soon to design our menu, which will include at least one poultry/fish dish and one vegetarian dish. (Don't worry, half of y'all are vegetarian; you'll be in good company!)

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

This is a celebration; we want you to feel good and have fun! Wear something nice but comfortable and true to you. We will be in the woods, but not hiking. There will be some walking on maintained, flat dirt paths (we'll have golf carts for those with mobility restrictions). Please make sure your footwear can handle grass and a few pebbles.

Question

Does a bear sit in the woods?

Answer

Our site has seen a few black bears in the past, though not often. Alas! If you haven't seen any before, we'll hopefully get you a sighting. Plenty of deer, though (so drive safe)! Meanwhile, a couple of ducks have made our selected ceremony site their home (the nest has five eggs!). That seems somehow like a good omen. Now if only Cory could see ducks (IFKYK)...
