Faro is the capital of southern Portugal’s Algarve region and is home to many historical landmarks. Try Vila Adentro in Old Town for a local Portuguese meal (try the sangria!) and with a night cap at Cidade Velha Rooftop.

Tavira is a small city on Portugal’s Algarve coast. It straddles the Gilão River, which reaches the sea through the inlets and lagoons of Ria Formosa Natural Park.
