Maurice and Coralie met the modern way: by swiping right on Hinge. After swiping right, Coralie was about to delete the app after having so many boring conversations with potential dates. A couple minutes later comes a text from Maurice. From messages to messages, the conversation kept flowing, until Coralie made the first move (at least that’s what she believes). Coralie pretended that she almost deleted the app by accident to get Maurice’s number. It worked, he sent his number, jackpot. The first time that Coralie and Maurice saw each other, it was on FaceTime, thank God for iPhones. Coralie had her hair tied up and presented herself with no makeup. She needed Maurice to see the “real everyday” her. It was a bold move from her part. It is safe to say that this bold move worked since it landed her on a real date. Their first date was a bit of an unplanned one—a date that was supposed to be at the Cheesecake Factory, shifted to a nice sushi meal at the mall and a movie later. It was raining that day and Maurice’s bad driving did not help the matter. However, their second date went much better and they've been together ever since. A few of Maurice’s and Coralie’s favorite memories from their time together include a nice movie night, a dinner outing and a day at a spa. Maurice’s and Coralie’s proposal was a bit unique as it ended up being on Coralie’s birthday, April fool’s day. Maurice planned to propose to Coralie by throwing this surprise birthday party for her. Ring was presented, hugs and kisses were shared, and it was an amazing experience. We're so excited for you to join us as we say "I do" at our wedding on July of 2024. See you soon!
