Our story
Connor’s first skiing adventure was at Cascade Mountain in Wisconsin Dells in February 2020. He claimed to be a pro from the start—at least, that’s how he tells it! After a day on the slopes, he went to The Reef, a local hotspot. Vanessa was there celebrating a friend’s birthday. Connor, on a winning streak at darts, spotted Vanessa dancing and thought, “I have to talk to her.” With some liquid courage, he confidently asked for her name. However, Vanessa wasn’t easily impressed and initially turned him down. But Connor wasn’t discouraged. He smoothly said, “I’m grabbing a drink at the bar. Join me if you’d like.” Vanessa was intrigued. Who was this guy? Confident and kind, he was different from the rest. Despite her initial hesitation, his warm and welcoming attitude made her reconsider. She decided to join him for that drink. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Travel to Ceremony: - Shuttles from Fairfield: 4:10 PM & 4:30 PM - Trolley: Available for Grand Geneva guests (no set schedule) - Driving? Plenty of parking at the Chalet Ceremony: 4:45 – 5:30 PM | Chalet Back Lawn Cocktail Hour: 5:30 – 6:30 PM | Enjoy drinks, mingle, and have fun! Dinner: 6:30 – 8:00 PM | Sit-down meal with wine service Reception: 8:00 – 11:30 PM | Dance the night away! Don’t forget to snap a pic at the Photo Booth. Last Call: 11:30 PM | Last Trolley is in 20 minutes. Travel After Reception: - Shuttles to Fairfield: Intermittent service from 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM - Trolley to Grand Geneva: Runs until 11:50 PM (it’s a long walk back to the GG lobby - don’t be late!) Ceremony is on the back lawn of the Chalet (weather permitting). Cocktail Hour & Reception to follow indoors at the Chalet.

Am I allowed to take photos at the ceremony?

We kindly ask you to turn off and put away phones and cameras during the ceremony. We’d love for you to be fully present with us - thank you for understanding!

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner with salad and your choice of entrée. Be sure to check your RSVP to confirm your selection. Cake will be available and pizza will be provided as a late-night snack!
