We met on August 9th, 2020 in Chicago for our first date which was a lunch date on a Sunday in the West Loop. The first stop was right underneath the train tracks so we would have to pause our conversation every 5 min and awkwardly smile in silence as the train went by. The funny awkward moments must have worked as we hit it off so well that the date lasted 5+ hours as we talked and laughed nonstop. To this day, we consider that first date our (dating) anniversary date as we became serious right away and never looked back. These last 3.5 years have consisted of amazing food, drinks, music, cozy Sundays / nights at home watching TV, and a ridiculous amount of travel (which we share a passion for) to places such as Italy, San Diego, Denver, Omaha, San Francisco, Mexico, Denmark, Georgia, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, and many more. When not working or traveling, our lives are dominated by Duke & Lyla, our crazy children in the form of chocolate lab and golden retriever. In terms of what's next, we're looking to make our big move away from Chicago to Colorado in the near future where we plan to build the next phase of our story together. Santa Barbara is the perfect place to spend a beautiful weekend with all of the people we cherish most in this world so we are incredibly thankful for all of you to make the trip and celebrate with us.
