How They Met
After completing a shift at Roxanne’s Birkenstock during a farmers market, Colie joined her coworker and friend Bethany for a drink at the beloved dive bar McCarthy’s. Bethany caught the eye of Matt’s friend John, prompting him to approach her for a cigarette. When she suggested a dance for it, he enthusiastically hopped onto a stool, seized a tree branch, and swung playfully like a monkey. The quartet then spent the evening playing shuffleboard, ultimately closing down the bar. Since Colie knew John from the local music scene, she tracked him down on Facebook, found Matt and sent him a direct message. They soon found themselves hanging out daily, eventually leading to dating a few weeks later , their first date being the local Sunset Drive In.

What is the dress code? What should I wear?
Answer
The dress code for the wedding is formal, with an all-black theme. You can add metallic accents to your outfit, but please wear all black clothing. Guests are encouraged to wear elegant evening attire, such as black suits or tuxedos for men and black evening gowns or cocktail dresses for women, to contribute to a stylish and cohesive atmosphere. Make sure to bring a coat for the evening chill, fur always suggested.

We will have endless beer, wine and soft drinks. Please do not bring hard alcohol onto the venue property. Please drink responsibly and do not drive intoxicated.

At our wedding, guests will enjoy a scrumptious dinner menu featuring Santa Maria style Steak, Chicken Milano, pesto pasta, three refreshing salad options, rice pilaf, an assortment of grilled vegetables, and garlic bread.

What weather should I expect?

In early April, Saratoga, California typically experiences mild and pleasant weather with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to low 70s. It's usually sunny with occasional clouds, and rainfall tends to be minimal during this time.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our wedding will take place outdoors, so we kindly suggest bringing a jacket to ensure your comfort in case of cooler temperatures.

What should I expect after the ceremony?
Answer
After the ceremony, the immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can walk down to the party space where snacks and drinks will be flowing. After photos, the couple will make their entrance, sit for dinner and speeches, then dancing will commence. Don’t miss the group photo!

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?
Answer
We are not providing any formal transportation for the events. Our ceremony and reception are both taking place at Saratoga Springs. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft is a great option for those who don’t. The hotel is 15 minutes from the venue. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.
