Things To Do

Upload Photos!

Add photos of you with Anna and Cliff for the wedding slideshow...pretty please?

Eat at The Spoon!

412 E 6th St, Bloomington, IN 47403

The Runcible Spoon has been a go-to spot for us for years. It's in Bloomington, where we live (40min west of the wedding location), but it's worth the trip. Little house. Wobbly tables. Eclectic art-covered walls. Spiced coffee. YUM. Try Anna's favorite: the Smoked Salmon and Croissant Bennie, or Cliff's: The Corned Beef Hash & Eggs!

Go for a Swim

1801 Indiana 46, Nashville, IN 47448

This is the pool at the lodge. It has a water slide! Seems to be a hopping spot, but we haven't actually tried it out yet. Let us know what you think if you go for it!

Visit The Goat Conspiracy Animal Sanctuary!

6022 Kent Road, Bloomington, IN 47401

Book a tour online in advance & go pet some goats! Two words: hidden. gem. Anna loves goats and has been pining over this place for years. Why she hasn't started volunteering there yet is anybody's guess...maybe she'll need something to do when wedding planning is over?? If you decide to go, dress for the farm (closed toed shoes & shirts you don't mind getting chewed on are a must)!! And if you meet a goat named "Turtle" or "Apri-not" (not to be confused with "Apricot"), tell them Anna said "hey".

Take a Hike!

1801 Indiana 46, Nashville, IN 47448

Engage (pun intended) in one of Cliff & Anna's favorite pastimes. Brown County State Park, where the wedding is, has several beautiful hiking trails that are sure to be extra gorgeous during the fall!

Go Ice Skating!

2100 South Henderson Street, Bloomington, IN 47401

The Frank Southern Ice Arena is in Bloomington, where we live (40min west of the wedding location). Frank Southern was one of the stops on our first date, almost 10 years ago. Cliff sported a charming extra-long, colorfully striped scarf, reminiscent of the one that the Fourth Doctor (in Doctor Who) wears. It flapped in the wind behind Cliff as he skated, and flopped about wildly when he fell down. <3 The ice arena generally opens up for public skating during the second week of October, but we'll update this once their calendar comes out so you can be sure of their hours. You can take note of Bloomington South High School, where Anna works, right next door.

FAQs

The Wedding Website of Clifford Marr and Anna Butler
Question

Can I mail in an RSVP card, or do I have to RSVP online?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP here online at the "RSVP" tab! We are not offering the option to mail in a physical RSVP card.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please have your RSVP to us (by submitting it via the "RSVP" tab on this website) by Monday, August 18th.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The doors to the venue will open at 5:00, one hour ahead of our ceremony time of 6:00. We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space and find a seat. Be warned: Driving in Brown County in the fall can be very tough and very congested, please give yourself plenty of travel time.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

In the main lot for the lodge. There will be signage and knowledgeable staff that will guide you from the lodge's lobby to the ceremony location.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not really! We want you to feel comfortable and have fun with what you wear. Think festive, expressive, and true to you. Remember though, that the ceremony is outside in the woods! FYI, Anna will be wearing emerald green, rather than white.

Question

Will I need to pay to get into the park?

Answer

Guests who are NOT staying overnight at the lodge can qualify for a gate waiver, so that they do not need to pay to enter the park. All overnight guests must pay the one-time per vehicle gate fee upon entry to Brown County State Park: - $7 (Indiana residents) - $9 (out of state visitors)

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’ve put a lot of thought into our guest list, and as much as we’d love to celebrate with EVERYONE, space and budget are real things. If your invitation includes a plus one or the RSVP form asks for your guest’s name, then yes—they’re invited! Otherwise, we’re keeping it intimate and hope you’ll understand.

Question

What is the best way to contact you about questions?

Answer

Before the wedding, feel free to reach out to: - Cliff (765-346-1499) - Anna (765-283-5883) For the day before, or the day of the wedding: - Best Man, Tyler (317-402-5360) - Lady of Honor, Stacy (513-315-4642)

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

We have a block of rooms held aside for our guests to book at the wedding location! These rooms are available for you to book for the nights following Oct. 15th and/or 16th. Guests who wish to stay overnight at the lodge MUST reserve their rooms before Sept. 15th, to ensure that space is available!!! (After that point, availability will be subject to rooms outside our reserved block, and Brown County is VERY popular in the fall.....don't wait to book!) Question

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors, surrounded by nature. If there’s a light drizzle, we’ll provide umbrellas and keep things cozy. In case of truly extreme weather, we’ve got an indoor backup plan ready. The reception and dinner will be indoors at the lodge, with access to a lovely outdoor patio and lawn where we may have outdoor games and space to wander. (We might even have a fire!)

Question

Am I allowed to bring my young children?

Answer

Yes! If we missed them in the RSVP form or your invite, please let us know.

Question

Where should I bring/send my wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift (which is totally NOT necessary), you can have it delivered to our home at: 1306 S. Madison St. Bloomington, IN 47403 Or, in lieu of a physical gift, we'd love contributions toward making our honeymoon special. You can donate to honeymoon experiences in the "Registry" section of this website. A wedding card box will be available to drop cards into at our reception.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos/videos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our wedding ceremony "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos during that time. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during that special time. (Our hired photographer will capture all the ceremony pics we need!) Go ham during the reception, though. You can even upload photos from the reception to an online album that will be accessible by scanning the QR codes in the reception hall. (And we would love if you do so!)

Registry

614c2da1-eb32-48b3-9f8f-eb0a340c98a3
You celebrating with us is the best gift, but if you'd like to give more, we welcome contributions toward making our honeymoon extra special: We're not sure exactly what we're going to do yet, but we know it will be a cross country road trip. Donate to experiences in our registry to help make them happen! There are also a few other items that could make our (and our pets') daily lives easier, so we've included those in our registry too, in case you prefer a more traditional gift option.
