Question

what's the itinerary?

Answer

October 2 / CHECK IN / Saguaro Ridge in Yucca Valley @ 3:00 PM PST October 3 / FREE DAY Caroline is working on finding options for things to do in the area. This is a free day for all of us to spend together either on the go or at the Airbnb. October 4 / WEDDING DAY Everyone should be ready for festivities to start around 4:00 PM. Until then, we'll relish in the joys of Caroline and Clay's wedding day. October 5 / FREE DAY Clay + Caroline will be on their own at this point. The family can choose to do whatever they want to enjoy their last full day at the Airbnb! October 6 / CHECK OUT Check out is at 11am. You're welcome to continue your vacation in the area or elsewhere!

Question

how do we get there?

Answer

The best flights we've found are from Charleston (CHS) to Palm Springs (PSS) through United Airlines. The Airbnb is about 40 minutes from Palm Springs and 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park. We'll be providing car rentals at the airport for those who need one.

Question

how long is the trip?

Answer

The trip is from October 2-6—4 days and 3 nights. You'll get 3 full days—one being the wedding day.

Question

what should I pack?

Answer

The high temperature averages about 83°F and the low averages 57°F. Conditions are very sunny and dry during the day, and chillier at night. Plan to bring breathable clothing, hats, sunglasses, and clothing to keep you warm in the evenings. Bring plenty of sunscreen, chapstick, and a water bottle to protect your skin and stay hydrated!

Question

what should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

General dress code is formal—tie optional. Guys should plan to wear a suit. Tie is optional—just no bow ties, please. Gals should plan to wear a floor length dress or set. No sequins, please. You're welcome to run anything by Caroline if it helps!
