Me and Chris were coworkers at Universal when we met. At first we were just coworkers, (technically he was my superior cause he was a Team Captain) but after about two years of minding our business from one another, we started to become friends. Our friendship went from talking from here and there to talking everyday. He went down to a regular Team Member just like me and we were talking everyday just growing as friends. One day, we realized we both had feelings for one another. Once we finally confessed to one another, our feelings grew so much for one another. We went on so many food dates, Disney dates, and Universal dates. We were always having a great time together. Now don't get me wrong there were a lot of ups and downs but we defeated every obstacle that we came across. The biggest being the when he had moved to Washington state and we were long distance after being together almost 3 years by then. But even that we overcame. We made an agreement that we would visit one another and switch every time. one of the visits that he had came here, that was when we got engaged! He made it as if it was any other date night the day he arrived to Florida. I thought it was just a date between me and him at our favorite location (the theme parks) even if we were on City walk. I hadn't seen him in months and was so excited, after work I practically ran to my car to change and raced the 8 minutes it takes to get there from my job (even though I did leave work late that day). I finally saw him and I didn't want to let go, he then wanted to take pictures together so we went somewhere with a better view and it was like a little nook area by the water. We then took our pictures and were talking (well his words were that I was talking and he was listening and very nervous and didn't give him time to do anything xD). He used my short attention span to use and pointed at something in the water saying something was there and I was so focused and turned away from him and didn't notice that he had kneeled down to propose. I was so shocked I kept asking him was he sure and if he was serious. I finally said yes and started to tear up and hug him like crazy. After a while, we got up and he had placed the ring on my finger and I ended up spotting his dad recording us and then we eventually walked to our family that was there and all had dinner as a celebration. It was the best night a girl could have after a long day at work. The best part of all of this was that this was a complete surprise. I completely had no idea that Chris had planned any of this. He even was trying to align everyone's schedule and to keep this hidden from me even though everyone around me knew. Chris always tries to make everything so special for me and create the best memories. He made that day super special and even had our families together. Even though everyone around me knew, I had absolutely no idea and I think that was the best surprise I've ever had and the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me. I am thankful to have him in my life to be that person that wants to make memories with me and make them special and to also grow with. Me and him have grown so much together and it keeps getting better everyday, we try to create new experiences together and always try to make the best out of any situation thrown our way.
