We met during our dating scene, I was ready for something real, while he was just trying to get his feet wet again. Me living in Newport News, VA I rarely entertained seeing anyone on the other side of the tunnel. Those who live here will tell you that traffic is no joke. I worked at Langley Hospital off an on while he just got back from a long deployment on the Truman. Now to say we put in time dating is an understatement when it came to trying to handle our kids, travel through that tunnel and deal with life as well. However we made it work and enjoyed whatever little time we had. Forward to when we finally moved in together during covid period. You would think this would break most, nah, we made the most of it. 4 kids 3 dogs and us in a small 2 bedroom during the shutdown period. Fast forward to his Navy retirement, new job and us moving to Chesapeake, we got our first house together as a family and are still loving it! Our 4 kids keep us busy with sports, dances, life milestones and just growing as a family. It was year 7 that he finally popped the question, as we are already a family just without the paperwork. So the night before our kid free Cruise he finally asked in Miami, FL after an amazing night out, (after many fake proposals if you know you know). So here we are now ready to celebrate our story and happiness with all we hold dear and close.
