Our journey together didn’t start right away, but when it did, it felt like everything was falling into place. We didn’t start dating until after both of us had finished nursing school and landed our first nursing jobs. We were focused on our careers, but also on finding someone who shared our values and faith. That’s when we met online through a Christian dating app—looking for someone who, like us, was dating with purpose and the goal of marriage in mind. Our first date was one we will never forget. We met at Manila Sunset, a cozy Filipino restaurant. The moment I walked in, we knew we were off to a great start—good food, warm conversation, and the kind of easy connection that you don’t find every day. We spent the evening talking about our backgrounds, our dreams, and the things that mattered most to us. The night ended with us feeling like we had known each other longer than just a few hours. From there, our relationship quickly blossomed into something beautiful. We started having fun adventures—going on hikes and enjoying nature, sharing laughter and good company as we explored trails together. We loved trying new food spots, embarking on food trips where every meal became an experience we could share. Movie nights became a staple, whether it was watching old classics or the latest blockbusters, and of course, we couldn’t resist our frequent trips to boba places. It was during these simple moments that we really got to know each other. Through every hike, food adventure, and boba date, we always knew we were building something special. We were intentional about making sure our relationship was rooted in faith, communication, and a shared vision for the future. We both knew we weren’t just looking for a relationship for the sake of it—we wanted something that was meant to last, and we could both see that in each other. Looking back now, we can’t help but smile at how we met and the journey we’ve taken together. From that first dinner at Manila Sunset to all the little adventures we’ve had since, it’s been clear that God brought us together at just the right time.
