We first met in 2022 at Anytime Fitness on 52nd Ave. Chris was transferring his membership, and Cambria happened to be working there at the time. We both thought the other was cute, but nothing came of it—timing just wasn’t right. Looking back, we truly believe God knew the perfect time to bring us together again. One and a half years later, we matched on Hinge—the app that's meant to be deleted! Our first date was at Wurst Beer Hall, where we bonded over our mutual love of cheese curds. We talked every day the first week of getting to know each other and started officially dating just one week later. We met each other’s parents early on, which meant a lot to both of us. We started learning about each other’s passions—Chris introduced Cambria to his love of board games (and his expert way of explaining the rules), and Cambria’s little brother Austin was in the middle of a basketball playoff run, which gave Chris a front-row seat to how seriously (and loudly!) Cambria cheers at games. That summer, we experienced Chris’s extended family reunion, which happens every three years, and spent lots of weekends at Cambria’s family lake home. Fall was full of football games and long drives—one week, we made three trips to the Cities in just a few days! We shared our first holiday season together with Christmas in the woods and, of course, plenty of board games. Cambria started attending Chris’s church, Heartland Community Church in West Fargo, and quickly felt at home. She joined Chris in serving in a youth program called Fine Arts and on the worship team—singing while Chris helps run sound. We’re excited to have this community in our life to spur on our faith. Early in 2025, we started talking about the future—including Chris buying a home. He began the house-hunting process at the end of February and found the perfect place in mid-March. On April 4th, Chris closed on a charming 1922 house full of character (and plenty of projects!). Later that same day, in the dining room of the house, Cambria joked, “I’m so excited that this is 99.5% going to be my future house.” Chris replied, “Well, what if I can guarantee the other 0.5%?” Then he got down on one knee and asked Cambria to be his wife—and to make this house their home together. Since then, life has been a whirlwind of painting, DIY projects, and wedding planning. We’re so excited for our future together in Fargo and deeply grateful for the family, friends, and community who have supported us on this journey. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you on October 24th! We’re so excited to spend that day with the people we love and care about! We hope this day shows God's glory and are thankful for his perfect timing.
