We're excited to celebrate with you!

We will be having a casual get together on Friday evening for folks who want to join us at Barton Springs. On Saturday, our ceremony with be a full Mass at St. Mary Cathedral at 3:30 in the afternoon which will last about an hour. We will have a reception at Lady Bird Wildflower Center which is about a 15-20 drive from St. Mary. Cocktails and country music will begin at around 5:00pm with dinner and dancing to follow.

THE MASS

The Catholic Church welcomes all to sacramental celebrations! If you are unfamiliar with Catholic liturgy, the program will be a very helpful guide. In short - simply stand, sit, and, if you are comfortable and able, kneel along with the rest of the congregation and enjoy the beauty of the moment! A Catholic wedding Mass is longer than some wedding ceremonies because it consists not only of the vows, but also the entirety of the Mass. We ask that our friends come forward to receive a blessing from our priest, if they desire, or stay in their seats and pray for us and our marriage during the Eucharist. Thank you for sharing this sacred moment with us!

Registry

Just in case you are looking for our registry!

We would like to extend an invitation to folks who are excited about offering a gift on this celebratory occasion to donate some funds or time to Austin Sanctuary Network. This is a local to Austin organization which many people who we love dearly are closely involved with, and is founded on communal love, safety, and protection.

Flower

This flower is from one of our favorite stained glass windows at our home parish, St. Ignatius Martyr in Austin. It is part of a scene where Christ serves in the Corporal works of Mercy. The seven actions are described symbolically. They are: feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, giving drink to the thirsty, clothing the naked, caring for the sick, visiting the prisoner, and burying the dead. "Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)

FAQs

Question

What Should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire! Mid October can be fickle in Central Texas - it might be in the 90s or it could be chilly, but better to err on the side of warm weather. Wear something that feels celebratory and comfortable to you, maybe with a bit of a Western flair - boots and bolos are welcome.

Question

Can I Bring My Kids?

Answer

Yes! This is a kid friendly day!

Question

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

While we don't have a specific wedding block, we are here to help recommend places for you to stay during your time in Austin! Although our reception is located in South Austin, being centrally located and taking transportation to the reception is a great option! Here are some hotels we recommend: The Hyatt Place The Omni Downtown The Tommie Austin The Driskill Please don't hesitate to reach out to Audrey or Chris for help finding a place to stay!

Question

Dietary Restrictions

Answer

Your RSVP has an option to submit any dietary restrictions. Please be as specific as possible so we can accommodate you to the best of our ability.

Question

Will the wedding be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors, and the reception will be both indoors and outdoors, with the indoor area available throughout the entire evening.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Out of respect for the guidelines provided by the Cathedral, we kindly ask that no phones, cameras, or recording devices are used during Mass. We would love for all guests to be completely present and for your beautiful faces to be seen in the photos when they come out! Our hired photographer will be doing the photo-taking during this time.
