It was Labor Day of 2020 when we both decided to go boating with friends. That day, we met at Weedon Island through mutual friends and instantly hit it off. Our first date was more of a group hangout at a friend’s house. Over the next few days, we got to know each other the best we could during a global pandemic—by ordering pizza in, running the Riverwalk, and having Lightning watch parties! In October 2020 we shared our feelings for each other and started dating. The past few years have been full of adventure. We both love to stay active and fill our free time with exercising, running, pickleball, skiing, and any outdoor activities. We’re also involved in the local Tampa Bay community and enjoy attending live sporting events. Chloe met Tim’s two kids, Quinn and Minka, several months into our relationship. Our days are now filled with their activities, from gymnastics to flag football and everything in between. We’ve also enjoyed several vacations together, including trips to North Carolina and Chloe’s home state of Indiana. In March 2022, we moved in together, which brought us even closer. Then, on May 5, 2023, Tim surprised Chloe by proposing at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. We were on a layover, headed to Rhode Island to visit family, and decided to walk the National Mall. The best part was being able to celebrate with family that night! Although Chloe’s sister would have appreciated a heads-up about the engagement, the taco night she had planned was the perfect way to celebrate the start of our future together.
