What a weird weekend for the world! On March 28th, 2020, the country was officially on lockdown. Covid-19 had spiked and we were told to stay home. So, we took this opportunity to have some fun! My mom texted our dear friend, Erica. "Wanna come ride sxs with us?" was the gist of the message that Erica received. Erica quickly responded "Yes!", but asked if her friends could tag along... of course they could! As I sat in the garage having a drink with my dad and friend Will, I watched as two faces and a man's chest walk past the garage door windows. Erica and her friends had finally arrived! They opened the door, I thought: "who is this tall man?". Then, my friend Will said "Nick! What's up man?" I thought to myself "Nick? Like the Nick that keeps popping up in my Facebook messages? Dear Lord!" Based off of this thought, it's safe and correct to assume that I didn't make it easy for poor Nick. Although we had a great time that night, I proceeded to ignore his snapchats throughout the week (whoops). The following weekend, Erica returned the favor by inviting me to come ride sxs with her and her friends! She just missed one small detail, we would be staying at the camp of the man I had been fiercely ignoring (smooth Erica, smooth). So, you can imagine my surprise when I unexpectedly came face-to-face with the tall Facebook man, once again. But, this is where the story ends, as the rest was history. We had so many laughs and great times together that weekend! Soon after, Nick invited me over for the one and only meal he has ever made us (smooth Nick, smooth) and shortly after that he moved himself into my apartment (also smooth). Although I'm positive the persistent Nick would have found a way to weasel himself into my life as he was consistently in my inbox and spending time in my stomping grounds, a big thank you to Erica... even if it was a little sketchy!
