We met at a local bar called The Locker Room Saloon in Utica, MI on December 1, 2018. Eric was living in Sterling Heights, MI and Chloe was living in Flushing, MI. Chloe had never been to The Locker Room and was having a tough night, so went there with some friends to dance and listen to some fun music. Eric went there after his friend’s brothers wedding. It was late in the evening and the bar was crowded with people singing and dancing, having a blast. This bar lets you stand on the bar stools and they give you drum sticks. So you can drum on the tables to the music. It’s a very fun experience. Chloe was standing on the bar stool, drum sticks in hand, and saw Eric from across the room. She pointed her drum stick at him as she was dancing and he made his way through the crowd and talked to her. For about a solid two minutes. He made sure he typed his phone number in her phone correctly and then Chloe left since it was getting late. Both of us were not looking to date, and lived an hour away from each other. But we started texting each other and never stopped. We started dating shortly after and fell in love. Chloe moved to Clawson, MI for a new job in March 2019, then moved in with Eric in February 2020 in Sterling Heights, MI, which is where we currently live. Eric proposed to Chloe on her birthday weekend at the Mackinaw Trails Winery and Brewery in Petoskey, MI on June 10, 2023. We had a great weekend celebrating with our close friends. Yes, we know this sounds like a fairy tale, but hey, dreams come true right? We are so thankful that God brought us together and cannot wait to start this next chapter!
