The Proposal

05.12.2023

After I (Cheyenne) drove 8 hours to visit home while our relationship was long distance, Moses took me to his favorite pizza place and stalled for a bit while both of our families were back at his house decorating the backyard with candles, an arch with balloons, flowers, and a light up sign that read “ Marry Me.” He led me through the side gate and I was exhausted from the long drive and so in disbelief that it took me a minute to realize what I had just walked into. He nervously gave me a hug, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I immediately happy cried and asked him if he was sure 😂 and he said yes, so I said yes, of course! And we proceeded to put the ring on the wrong hand. Then to my ultimate surprise every one of our parents and siblings walked out from the house and were so full of joy and excitement for us! That was a miracle in itself since everyone always has busy schedules, lol. We’d been together for a little over 3 years at this point so Marriage was definitely something we talked about. I didn’t expect it to happen so suddenly but I was happily surprised and so grateful for everyone who was involved in making this happen.
