What was supposed to be a simple lunch and walk around the Promenade turned into so much more on our first date. We met at Wegmans (of course 😊), grabbed sushi and drinks, and headed to Illick’s Mill for a picnic lunch. What started as a casual meal quickly turned into hours spent sitting by the creek, talking and getting to know one another. After lunch, we made our way to the Promenade to wander around together. There was some window shopping, a stop at Barnes & Noble, one of Cheryl’s favorite places, and plenty more conversation along the way. By the time we finished walking around, the arcade Russ had originally planned to visit had already closed, so we improvised and headed to Dave & Buster’s instead. Anyone who knows Cheryl knows that arcade games are absolutely the way to her heart. There was lots of basketball, plenty of skeeball, and before we knew it, somehow it was dinner time. On the drive earlier that day, Russ had noticed a billboard for a new Korean BBQ restaurant called 88 Pot, one of his favorite kinds of meals, so we decided to keep the date going and head there for dinner. The conversation never seemed to slow down, so after dinner we went back to Cheryl’s place to watch Hawkeye and continue learning about each other. Before we realized it, it was after 10 p.m... and Russ still had more than an hour drive home. We said goodnight that evening with no idea what the future would hold… but somehow, a simple first date became the beginning of everything.

Such a great spot to grab food, do some light shopping, or just hang out. One of our favorites!
One of the best places in Bethlehem! And also where our reception is being held....ArtsQuest always has something great going on. Movies, music, comedy, festivals. And the architecture is not to be missed!
A historic, and haunted, hotel in Historic Bethlehem. It's the anchor of the Christmas City! The entire downtown is a great place to visit - lots of shops and restaurants to check out.
The location of (part of) our first date. A great park to meander around and maybe say hi to a few ducks!
If you want some retail therapy, look no further than the Lehigh Valley Mall. Also the site of part of our first date!
Another location from our first date. An outdoor, upscale shopping center with stores, restaurants, and a large movie theater.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. We recommend arriving 20 minutes early to allow time for parking and seating.
The ceremony will take place at Packer Memorial Church on Lehigh University’s campus. The reception will follow at ArtsQuest/SteelStacks, which is a short, 2-3 minute drive from the chapel.
Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.
Cocktail attire encouraged! Think dressy but comfortable...suits, dresses, jumpsuits, or anything you feel great celebrating in.
We’ll be serving food in fun stations along with dessert (including pie, because March 14 = Pi Day 😊).
Yes! Beer, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
Absolutely. There will also likely be arcade energy, singalongs, and at least a little competitive spirit.
We wanted a wedding day that felt joyful, unique, and unmistakably “us.” Pi Day checked every box.
