Our Story At every stage of my life, I’ve been carried forward by people who showed up at just the right time. From family who raised me through hardship, to the friends who welcomed me in the U.S., to mentors who opened the doors to Harvard, to chasing a dream in China that football could change lives and even a nation, and then back to Taiwan where Choxue was born — I have never walked this journey alone. And then came Fion. We started with completely different backgrounds, no mutual friends, and plenty of conflict. We didn’t know if it would work. But little by little, through a lot of effort on our part — and even more grace from God — we built something real. That’s why this wedding is not just about us. It’s about all of us. It’s about honoring the journey, the people who shaped it, and the God who carried us through. 我們的故事 在我人生的每一個階段，總有人在關鍵時刻出現，帶領我往前走。從家人在困境中的扶持，到在美國接納我的朋友；從帶我進入哈佛的貴人，到追逐一個夢想——讓美式足球在中國普及，因為我相信這項運動能改變人生，甚至影響一個國家。最終這段路把我帶回台灣，誕生了「球學」。一路上，我從來不是一個人。 直到遇見 Fion。我們來自完全不同的背景，沒有任何共同的朋友，也經歷過許多爭執與掙扎。一開始我們甚至不知道這段關係能否走下去。但一步一步，我們用盡努力，更真實地說，是靠著上帝的恩典，才慢慢走到今天。 這也是為什麼這場婚禮不只是關於我們，而是關於「我們所有人」。它是對這段旅程的致敬，是對每一位陪伴者的感謝，也是對那位一路帶領我們的上帝的讚美。 Why Taiwan / Sun Moon Lake We picked Taiwan because it’s home. It’s where we grew up, where so much of our story has unfolded, and where we want to begin this next chapter. But it’s also more than just home. We feel Taiwan is a place that matters in the bigger picture of the world, and for many of you, this may be your first time here. Our hope is that you won’t just come for a wedding, but that you’ll get to experience and feel something special about this place. Within Taiwan, we chose Sun Moon Lake. Honestly, when we first visited, it just felt right. The lake is stunning, but it’s also a place full of meaning - a spot where leaders once gathered to reflect on the future, and where the name itself (sun and moon) speaks of balance and wholeness. And then there’s The Lalu. It’s more than a hotel - it’s a place that blends history, culture, and nature into something beautiful and forward-looking. For us, it’s the perfect place to not only celebrate a wedding, but to share a meaningful moment together with all of you. 為什麼選擇台灣/日月潭 我們選擇台灣，因為這裡是我們的家鄉。這是我成長的地方，也是我們故事一路發展的地方，更是我們想要一起開啟新篇章的地方。但台灣對我們來說，不只是「家」而已。我們覺得它在世界上也有特別的意義。對許多人來說，這可能是你第一次來到台灣，我們希望你們不只是參加婚禮，而是能真實地感受到這片土地的美好。 在台灣，我們選擇了日月潭。老實說，當我們第一次到這裡時，心裡就覺得：「對，就是這裡。」湖景很美，但更重要的是，這個地方本身也很有意義 —過去領袖曾在這裡接待賓客、思考未來，而「日月潭」這個名字，本身就象徵著平衡與完整。 還有涵碧樓。它不只是一間飯店，而是一個把歷史、文化與自然融合在一起的地方，展現了前瞻又獨特的風格。對我們來說，這裡不只是婚禮場地，更是一個可以和大家一起分享的重要時刻的地方。 Our Hope for This Week More than a wedding, we hope this week becomes a time of connection, joy, and perspective for everyone who joins. We’ve designed the days intentionally — with moments to play together (Sports Day), to give thanks (Thanksgiving dinner), to celebrate love (our wedding day), and to worship together (Sunday service). Each part reflects who we are and what we believe in: that life is better when shared, and that God weaves all of our stories into something bigger than ourselves. Our prayer is that this week at Sun Moon Lake is not just our new chapter, but a meaningful chapter for all of us — one that will leave us with memories, laughter, and hope for the future. 我們對這一週的期盼 對我們而言，這不僅僅是一場婚禮，而是一個讓大家彼此連結、分享喜樂、拓展視野的時刻。 這一週的安排是刻意設計的 —— 一起運動的時光（運動日）、一起感恩的時光（感恩節晚餐）、一起慶祝愛的時光（婚禮當天）、以及一起敬拜的時光（主日聚會）。每一個部分都反映了我們的生命與信仰：生命在分享中更美，上帝也正在把我們的故事編織進更大的圖畫。 我們的禱告是，這一週在日月潭，不只是我們的新篇章，也是大家共同的新篇章 —— 留下笑聲、回憶，也帶來對未來的盼望。

This would be a fun chance to bring some of my friends from the U.S. - a lot of them are visiting Taiwan/Asia for the first time. If you’re interested, I’d love to take everyone to check out where I grew up. Maybe play a super chill pick-up game (basketball or volleyball) at my elementary school in Tianmu, or at Tianmu Park where I used to hang out until really late at night :) Afterward, we can grab some food or head over to Shilin Night Market together :) 這次也剛好有幾位從美國來的朋友，很多人都是第一次到台灣／亞洲。如果你有興趣，想帶大家去看看我從小長大的地方。也許在我的母校天母國小，或是我以前常待到半夜的天母公園，來場輕鬆的籃球或排球野戰 😊 結束之後，我們可以一起去吃點東西，或是去士林夜市走走 😄

Main Airport: Taoyuan Intl. (TPE, near Taipei)
Most international guests should fly into Taoyuan International Airport (TPE, near Taipei). From there, it’s about 2.5–3 hrs to Sun Moon Lake by train or shuttle/van. Alternative: Taichung Airport (RMQ) is smaller and closer (~1.5 hrs), but connects only via other Asian cities (Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Hong Kong). From the U.S., the easiest routes connect via San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), or Seattle (SEA). Yes! We love kids and welcome families. Many of our friends already have children, and since the wedding falls around Thanksgiving, we want this to be a true family celebration.
