Celebration kickoff! Join us for a low-key picnic with views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier. You're welcome to just stop by or stay the whole time. We'll be in Shelter #1. Unfortunately, there isn't a specific address we can give for the shelter, but if you search "Seward Park Shelter 1" you can see the exact location on Google Maps :) ** please note a later start time than originally planned to accommodate for the heat.

The main event! Help us make our marriage feel extra official by celebrating with all of you, our favorite people. We'll have dinner, drinks, dancing, and more! The event space is behind the restaurant/cafe on the main street. When you reach Sabine, follow along the tunnel of lights to the left of the front entrance and you'll find us.

Question
What the heck do I wear??
Answer
Sabine is a cocktail bar, so think cocktail attire! The venue is mainly indoors with a small outdoor patio area.

Can kiddos join?
Answer
Yes, children can join both events. However, the Aug 10 party venue, Sabine, asks that children leave by 10pm and isn't as kid-friendly a space as the Aug 9 picnic. For those of our out-of-town guests that might be interested in childcare, we know some kind, responsible, and experienced childcare providers (aka former educator perks) we'd be happy to connect you with!

What's parking like near the venue?
Answer
Parking in Ballard can be pretty tricky, especially if it's a warm evening on a summer weekend. Your best bet is probably parking on Shilshole Ave NW. It's doable, but we recommend that you carpool and/or take an Uber. It's a small hill up from Shilshole Ave to the venue. *If you're joining us for the welcome picnic: Finding a parking spot in the park might be tough, so we usually park along one of the residential streets nearby. Orcas St. is usually a good one to try. This does require a little bit of a walk to where we'll be, and there's accessible parking right in front of the picnic shelter for anyone who needs!
Question
The website says Sabine, but the invitation says Bar Sabine...which one is right?!

For our detail-oriented friends who caught this: we see you. Right after we made our invitations, the venue went through a little switcheroo and the entire space is now just "Sabine". Though it irks Chelsea's perfectionism, it's still exactly the same place with the same address :)
