It was November, 2005. Char had moved to Florida only the year before and took a seasonal job at Circuit City. Brian had been working there for about a year at that point and the two met and became friends. Less than two years after meeting, Brian and Char began to date - March, 2007 - and, soon after, moved in together with another couple. This season of their relationship ended in the summer of 2009. It was a tough breakup and the two did not speak for almost five years. Fast forward to May of 2014. Char had just gotten out of a long-term relationship. She had just adopted a puppy, Molly, and was feeling sort of down. She sent a random "Happy Birthday, Stranger" message to Brian on Facebook and they reconnected. The next night, the two met up for drinks at an Applebee's. Brian gave Char a goodnight kiss and - Sparks flew! For the next two years, Brian and Char were casually dating - not wanting to get too close for fear of getting hurt again. In 2016, Char sold her home in Weeki Wachee and moved to Tampa. It was two months after she moved to Tampa that the two made it OFFICIAL. A year later, Brian, Char, and Molly moved in to their first apartment together and settled into their life as a family of three. They moved a few times. They changed jobs. They had their ups and their downs. But through it all, they had one another. And Molly, too. Brian asked Char to marry him along the Riverwalk of the Hillsborough River in Downtown Tampa on January 6th, 2024 - just over 18 years after they first met. They bought their first home two months later and two years after they were engaged, they will be married.
