It all started with a quick hello through Hope City. Chantelle was always eager to talk and make new friends, while Justin was just as eager not to. Justin had just joined staff after completing his program early. The first time Justin really took notice of Chantelle was during a Staff Christmas party. The group was playing a very loud and quick dice game and when she laugh it nearly blew an ear drum…he wasn’t sure if he was annoyed or impressed. Sometime shortly after, Chantelle and Justin became friends and started playing Pokemon Go. Months went by and time went on. Chantelle bought a truck that needed way more work done then anticipated and this is when their friendship really began to grow. There were many trips to the pick n pull and errands to autozone that really grew their friendship. Once the truck was completed, Justin so kindly made Chantelle a CD. She wasn’t sure what that meant but she brushed it off (because the CD didn’t work) and she thought it was a nice gesture. It wasn’t until a few days later, Justin called again saying he had made another CD. This time she was suspicious. She reached out to a good friend, (Woods) who honestly, always loved to be in the middle of things, and always so eager to help. She asked him to find out what was going on with Justin. Weeks went by and he came back with the news. He said “I got good news and bad news, which do you want first?”. She told him she wanted the bad news… “Well Justin’s not dating for 2 years..” She said “that’s that, I guess it doesn’t matter huh!”. Woods being the Mr positivity he is said “well you don’t even want to know the good news?”. Reality settling in she said “well sure”. Woody excitedly says “He likes you and he likes you a whole lot!”. Chantelle wasn’t interested in being “just friends.” She had plenty of guy friends who were “just friends.” So she asked Woods what he thought to do. Woody always the encourager said “Well, you’ve made it this far, you might as well stick it out. He’s a great guy. He’ll be worth it.”…Fast forward to two years three months later he asked Chantelle to be his girlfriend. Finally!
