Jackson is a very close friend to both of us, although after living together for four years, I think we are family at this point. Jackson, whether he wanted to or not, has seen our relationship blossom from the beginning. He has been there to call Celina out when she’s being just “a little too hard” on Jake, but also there to join Celina in making fun of Jake for watching Band of Brothers for the 500th time (with the captions on of course). We both met and became friends with Jackson well before our relationship began, but in these last five years, we really grew up together. Jackson is the most loyal friend we could have. When thinking about who we wanted to marry us, we could not imagine anyone but Jackson binding us as husband and wife. And, if you know Jackson…you know…there truly is no better man for this job.

What is the dress code?
Answer
We kindly request our guests to join us in elegant beach cocktail attire! For women, cocktail, tea-length, midi-length, or jumpsuits all work for a beach cocktail affair. As for men, feel free to wear either a summer suit or a long-sleeved shirt and dress slacks. Consider selecting a look with a breathable fabric as Outer Banks weather is a wildcard in May! Gentlemen, please no shorts, jeans, or open-toed shoes.

What shoes should I wear?
Answer
Although this is a beach ceremony, gentlemen, please no open-toed shoes. Ladies, please take that into account when choosing your shoes! The ceremony will take place on the beach but cocktail hour and the reception will take place on concrete. There will be a designated area for ladies to place their shoes during the beach ceremony.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Answer
The reception will take place outdoors at a private residence. The address is 331 Audobon Drive, Corolla, NC 27927. The ceremony will take place on the beach directly in front of the private residence. Please arrive to the ceremony from the beach through the hotel beach access.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
The wedding will take place at a private residence and there will be no parking permitted on the street or in the driveway. The driveway is reserved for catering and other vendors. Guests are encouraged to stay at the hotel option provided that is located next to the ceremony and reception site. It is a very short walk to the ceremony and reception site from the hotel. There is no parking permitted at the Pine Island community center or the hotel parking lot (if you are not a hotel guest). We encourage guests to book their accommodations at the Hampton Inn and Suites.

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?
Answer
No, transportation will not be provided, guests are encouraged to stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites that is listed under the travel section. This hotel is located next door to where the wedding will be held. It is a short beach walk to the ceremony and reception site from the hotel.

Is there a block of hotel rooms?
Answer
There is a discount code for our guests to receive 15% off at the Hampton Inn and Suites located in Corolla, NC. This is NOT a block of reserved rooms, the hotel is first come first serve. Booking for May of 2025 opens up June 2024, so we encourage guests to book as early as possibly to ensure accommodations. How many nights should I stay?
Answer
As many or as little as you desire! Jacob and I plan to make a vacation out of the trip with some family and friends and will stay the whole week. We want everyone to have a great time, whatever that may be for you! The wedding will take place on Saturday, May 10th. We will have welcome drinks for any guests who are in town Friday night. And Sunday afternoon we hope to recap the weekend with whoever is still around or on their way out at the pool or beach! Feel free to stay the weekend, an extended weekend, or a week! We are grateful for anytime we get to spend with everyone.

The invitation will be addressed to those invited to the wedding. Also, if you received a plus one, they will appear with your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Answer
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding a adults-only event. We encourage you to use this long weekend as a mini-vacation!

Can I bring my own adult beverages?
Answer
We will be providing alcohol and have a bartending service who will be handling and serving the beverages. Due to liability and regulations, you are not permitted to bring other alcoholic beverages on the premise. We will provide a welcome drink for the ceremony, followed by an open bar for the cocktail hour and reception. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
