Billy's Story I first met Kacie in passing back in 2014 when she had just joined the team at Four Seasons in Westlake Village as a bright, bubbly assistant manager in the Spa. At that time, I was soon to transition to a new role in Los Angeles. Little did I know it would be several years before our paths crossed again—this time at Four Seasons Palm Beach in late fall 2021. Kacie returned to the Four Seasons as a contractor for the Spa in Palm Beach, which fell under my purview as the Resort Manager - our re-meeting was set to be far more meaningful! I remember the day she arrived, December 4, 2021, her birthday. In anticipation of her arrival, I wrote her a simple welcome card and wished her happy birthday. At the time, I had no idea how significant that handwritten note would become, but it made an impact… I think she has kept it! Shortly after she arrived, we gathered at a local restaurant with a mutual friend for snacks, drinks, and some football. During that dinner, I was quite disarmed by her vibrant personality, sense of humor, intelligence, and charm. Her infectious giggle made me very happy (it still does!), and I felt an immediate urge to see her again. We shared some playful flirtation, which soon blossomed into something deeper. I was beginning to discover my future best friend, partner, and confidant—and ultimately, my wife-to-be! Our relationship was somewhat clandestine at that time but once Kacie’s contract ended in Palm Beach and she relocated back to Westlake Village in California, our relationship grew even more, and it grew stronger. Although we were living thousands of miles apart, it was very apparent that I had found the one. That I had discovered the love of my life… and it was and has been glorious! Kacie’s Story - December 11, 2021 - Palm Beach, FL I always joke about the moment I knew I wanted to marry Billy… it was the very first night we met at dinner with a few mutual friends. Billy came straight from work, I had just relocated to PB to work for a short timeline. I remember smiling to my friend and saying, “I want to Marry this man”. After that, every Bronco game we commiserated over and all of the flights cross country while we did long distance just made me fall more in love and more interested in learning about who Billy was. I don’t think it was reciprocated quite that quickly but I’m glad I was all in after dinner #1 and enjoyed every moment.
