Officiant
Katherine has been a close friend of Jason and Colleen for years, and as such, Katherine has become a core part of our lives. Katherine hosts our monthly game night, lifts in our gym, hydrates us with seltzers, and supplied us with a fun (?) early pandemic activity of completely demolishing her house in preparation for a massive renovation. Colleen and Katherine work together, and Jason and Katherine used to be in a band together. One day, Katherine and Colleen hope to quit their government jobs and become a world famous speed puzzling duo, with Jason as their tour manager and Katherine's dog, Baya, as our mascot.
Best Woman
Kat and Colleen met in Mrs. Rhinesmith's first grade class at Lincoln Elementary School in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. They shared mutual friends over the years and got closer while they were in 7th and 8th grade. As middle school ended, Colleen and Kat became inseparable, going to shows, sitting on Kat's porch enjoying her mom's delicious food (and the occasional hard lemonade), cuddling with Peppy the dog, swimming in the pool, and playing MASH in the Catskills. They were on the fencing team together, went on vacation with each other's families, rode to school every morning in Kat's red 1986 Thunderbird, and even had the same class schedule senior year of high school. They stayed close even though they went to colleges 500 miles apart, with Kat annually coming to Ann Arbor to enjoy everyone's beautiful midwestern accents (in Michigan, her name is pronounced "Kayt"). Kat and Colleen even lived together in Brooklyn after Kat returned from Peace Corps in Mongolia with her rescue dog Otis in tow. In spite of not living in the same city since 2012, Kat and Colleen have remained besties and still visit each other regularly and text each other random recollections and inside jokes. Colleen is so thankful that Kat and her family are part of this special day and hopes that we can get a picture together, as the best one we have (above) is from when we were 16.
Bridesmaids
Colleen met Allie, Isha, and Courtney at Balance Gym in Washington, DC in 2016. When Colleen switched to the Thomas Circle location, Allie, Isha, and Courtney welcomed them into the Strong Strong Friends crew. They spent countless evenings on the 2nd floor of the gym, lifting, joking around, annoying all the bros, and ordering side salmon at Stoney's. In late 2016, Colleen was added to the Group Chat, and the Strong Sistren were born. Colleen, Allie, Courtney, and Isha have talked every day since. As such, they were there for Colleen's inner monologue through every step of Colleen and Jason's relationship, at one point even using "Jason Toner" as a euphemism for a good dude. Allie even holds some responsibility for Jason and Colleen getting together! Colleen had a Fourth of July barbecue and invited Jason, who showed up but was nervous about attending because he had only briefly met a couple of the invitees. As he sat in his car wondering if he should go inside, Allie spotted him and waved excitedly, and Jason felt obligated to go in. Together, the Sistren have shared an epic Friendsgiving, started a million inside jokes, traveled to visit each other as our lives have taken us to different cities, and been there for each other through all of life's ups and downs. Colleen is thrilled to have them here today and is excited to take an updated hot group photo at a wedding.
Groomsmen
The Gburg Punx met a long time ago, in, well you guessed it, Gaithersburg. GHS to be specific. Jason met Ambrose when he was 16, all because his MySpace song was from a band Ambrose liked. From there, Ambrose introduced Jason to Shawn and Ben a little later, and then it was done. From shows, all nighters, Black Friday hangs, bands, all the way to Japan for Shawn’s “bachelor party”, these people have been by Jason’s side. Jason can't imagine any other people by his side for this special day.
Yes! We will have a welcome happy hour from 6-8pm at Guilford Hall Brewery on Friday, September 27. The address is 1161 Guilford Ave, Baltimore, MD 21202. This will be very casual - only come if you want/can, and stay as little or as long as you like. We just wanted to provide an opportunity for guests to meet each other, say hello to the couple, and have some bevvies and snacks. There are no scheduled events the morning after the wedding.
We want you to look and feel your best, whether that's a casual look or a rhinestone tuxedo jacket. We encourage everyone to be as "out there" as you want to be without fear of upstaging the couple... it will bring us great joy to see you all in your most extreme ‘fits. You know that item that you say "I love this but I have no idea where I'd wear it?" - that's what we want you to wear. But! If you're not a flashy person, no worries. We want you to show up feeling comfortable and fabulous. If this description doesn't help, maybe this Pinterest inspiration board will: https://pin.it/5VbXx1fwY

There is a parking garage across the street from the venue and some street parking. Please be aware that there is another large event at the museum the same night as the wedding, so parking may be sparse. Instead of driving, consider using Lyft! We are offering guests a Lyft voucher for the weekend. Just use code CCMARRIESJT when booking your ride to the venue.
No. We welcome you to stay at the hotel or vacation rental of your choosing. We will be staying at a house close to the venue.
Please RSVP by July 31. We want to fill the room with loved ones, and if you can't attend, we'd like to add friends who we unfortunately couldn't fit in during the initial invitation period. If you can't attend, please do not stress! We understand that travel and life can be a challenge. We'll miss you, but we won't be offended :)
Yes! We are happy to have them, though keep in mind the wedding will go until almost 11pm and we will be playing uncensored music🕺
We specified invitees on each RSVP, including partners, children, and other guests. We erred toward allowing plus ones for those who may not know a ton of other attendees, as we want to keep our invite list to our friends and family as much as possible. If we didn't specify a plus one on your invitation, you can get in touch with us to see if there's room to add one for you.
