This is a 50 min drive from Orange Beach. This is the easiest and closest airport to fly into. If flying, we suggest renting a car as Ubers and cabs are not commonly used here. They are available, however there may be longer wait times and they can be expensive.

This is about a 1:15-1:30 min drive from Orange Beach. We have never flown from this airport but it’s an option. If flying, we suggest renting a car as Ubers and cabs are not commonly used here. They are available, however there may be longer wait times and they can be expensive.

Travel Note

Tips for travelling to the Gulf Coast for our wedding.

Summer is peak tourist season on the Gulf Coast. Therefore, we recommend booking your accommodation and travel well in advance (aka: now) if you plan to attend. Staying in Orange Beach will be the easiest and closest place to stay for participation in wedding activities, especially given the traffic in June. There are many condos and some homes for rent here. Gulf Shores and Perdido Key are the next closest beach-front “towns” (approx.. 20-25 min drive). Gulf Shores has more of a busy tourist vibe with condos and many homes for rent. Perdido Key is low key and quieter with mainly condos or the Lost Key Townhomes. Both have beautiful beaches. Foley is another option but is not near the water. You will find mostly hotels here and prices will be lower. Foley is about 35 min. away.
