For those already in town, join us for casual welcome drinks at TALEA Beer Co., located only a few blocks from the hotels. We'll have an open bar and heavy snacks (our favorite, yumm!).

Following the Ceremony, Uber and Lyft are the best ways to travel to the party. Approx 10min drive.
4:30 pm
Cocktail Attire
Cocktails followed by floating-style dinner and dance party. No assigned seating, but there will be plenty of places to put your feet up and relax. Bring comfortable footwear and come ready to party! The party goes until 12:30 AM.
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Casual attire / park clothes. Hangovers welcome.
Pick up a bagel and coffee and meet us at Brooklyn Bridge Park, at the Pier 5 Uplands Lawn, for some sun and relaxation. It is a 20 minute walk from Downtown Brooklyn, or a short Uber/Lyft down Joralemon Street (although you might have to walk last few blocks due to the Five Borough Bike Tour route). There is no formal agenda, just a park hangout. Recommended bagel shops include Atlantic Bagels on Atlantic Ave, and La Bagel Delight on Court St. **Plan is weather dependent. If weather is poor, then we'll pivot to a new plan**

Carbo-load with a Brooklyn bagel and lox experience at Shelsky's!
Brooklyn Bridge Park & walking the Brooklyn Bridge is a favorite of ours. If you're feeling ambitious, take the ferry to Manhattan or Governor's Island from BKB Park. There are plenty of playground here for kids.
a Dumbo classic for kids & adults. Follow with a snack from Timeout Market.

Travel Alert! Please note that the Five Boro Bike Tour will be taking place on Sunday, May 4 and the route takes riders right through Williamsburg>Dumbo>Brooklyn Waterfront>Atlantic Avenue>BQE. This shouldn't impact any of the highways to LGA or JFK on Sunday, but it could add to congestion in Downtown Brooklyn and on Atlantic Avenue. It is advised to leave extra time for traffic if heading to the airports, and to take public transportation in/around NYC on Sunday. Avoid the FDR in northern Manhattan as it will be closed. Review the tour map online and check local news for road closures. If you are headed to/through Staten Island by car, don't even think about it!!! The BQE will be closed south of Atlantic Avenue all the way to the Verrazano. Either take the ferry, or as the Capelli's have done, move elsewhere ;) Lastly, it is inadvisable to register yourselves for the Tour as the dancing will go late, and your legs will be Jell-O from aggressively getting too low to Shout!
Blargh! Sorry to deliver the news, but all those Danaher relatives in the Rockaways should take note of closures to the A train through the end of May 2025. A trains won't run between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and Far Rockaway-Mott Av or Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St. Alternate travel means include express buses, the LIRR, and the NYC Ferry. If you have any complaints, then take them up with our very own Dan Stenson at the MTA [transit museum].
