Hotel
The discount code was actually more expensive than simply booking early, so we recommend you book now to save some $ ! This hotel feels like a nice & fancy motel, is centrally located, and has a great coffee shop with really great pastries and baked goods (Black Coffee Roasters) by the lobby.
Hotel
Ah, the DoubleTree! While we don't have a group rate at this hotel, it's a nice place to stay if you want to feel a lil fancy and be halfway between the University of Montana and downtown Missoula! Finn, a nice restaurant in the hotel, is right on the Clark Fork, and has a nice bar.
We'll post our registry here when we're finished building it. Thank you in advance!
Yes, you should go to the Butterfly House!
The Carousel is fun no matter what your age. It's one of the first fully hand-carved wooden carousels made in the country since The Great Depression! Beautiful ponies, dragons, and other exciting creatures to ride. Seriously. Go!
Great hike to get an excellent view of Missoula! Short, and up!
Drive around in a big loop, see some wildlife (or just some great views!). The Bison Range is a special place, and in 2020, ownership of the range was restored to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. The bison here are descendants of the free-ranging Reservation herd started by Tribal members in the 1800s when Plains bison were near extinction. If you go up for this day trip, we also recommend checking out Quinn's Hot Springs and getting ice cream at Ripples Ice Cream Parlor in Plains! It's all a drive, but it's all beautiful.
A great place for Cajun food (YES CAJUN FOOD) in Missoula, a great bar, and wonderful photographs of folks who spent some time drinking in this bar. True community & hospitality. Cash only.
Of course we recommend the Saturday Farmers' Market. Check out the food market by the old rail station downtown (by the XXXs, you'll see!), and the People's Market (crafts galore) is just a few blocks south. There's also The Clark Fork Market, which is in the parking lot by the carousel. Tons of excellent farm & food vendors here, too! https://www.clarkforkmarket.com/
Come for the wedding, stay for the Evening In Missoula nighttime tea.
Naturally leavened pizza dough and local ingredients!
Good brewery with plenty of seating, food trucks, and often, live tunes!
This place is amazing! An educational center for elk conservation & general wilderness! Some enormous bull elk on display as well as other critters from the Rocky Mountains.
Great burgers. Great for GRIZ fans!! Cash only, there’s an ATM inside.
