Travel

Hello out of towners! Welcome to Missoula! GETTING HERE: It's a beautiful drive, if you've got the time! Fly in to MSO. There are cabs to take you downtown and plenty of rental cars. WHERE TO STAY: We have discounts available at the Holiday Inn Downtown and at The Wren in downtown Missoula. There are cute Airbnbs in and around Missoula as well! We suggest staying close to downtown/the University District, especially if you don't rent a car! It's a walkable town and there's lots to do and see. GETTING AROUND: A shuttle will be provided to and from the wedding on Saturday, from downtown Missoula to Cassie's parents' home in Huson. Parking is available (in a field) at the ceremony if you do choose to drive. Designated drivers are a must if you choose to drive! You don't even need a car! Check out The Bicycle Hangar in Missoula to rent a bike for a day (or three!) and explore The Garden City on two wheels.

Hotel

Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown, an IHG Hotel

200 South Pattee Street, Missoula, MT 59802

Centrally located in downtown Missoula! We have a discount for rooms at this hotel. Call with the info below or use the discount link to the hotel website, below. Group Name: Woolhiser-Partington Wedding Group Booking Code: WPW

Hotel

The Wren

201 East Main Street, Missoula, MT 59802
 (406) 401-4400

The discount code was actually more expensive than simply booking early, so we recommend you book now to save some $ ! This hotel feels like a nice & fancy motel, is centrally located, and has a great coffee shop with really great pastries and baked goods (Black Coffee Roasters) by the lobby.

Hotel

DoubleTree by Hilton Missoula/Edgewater

100 Madison Street, Missoula, MT 59802

Ah, the DoubleTree! While we don't have a group rate at this hotel, it's a nice place to stay if you want to feel a lil fancy and be halfway between the University of Montana and downtown Missoula! Finn, a nice restaurant in the hotel, is right on the Clark Fork, and has a nice bar.

Registry

We'll post our registry here when we're finished building it. Thank you in advance!

Things To Do

Here are a few of our favorite places in Missoula! We'll be adding more things to do as the date approaches.

Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium

1075 South Avenue West, Missoula, MT 59801

Yes, you should go to the Butterfly House!

A Carousel for Missoula

101 Carousel Drive, Missoula, MT 59802

The Carousel is fun no matter what your age. It's one of the first fully hand-carved wooden carousels made in the country since The Great Depression! Beautiful ponies, dragons, and other exciting creatures to ride. Seriously. Go!

Montgomery Distillery

129 West Front Street, Missoula, MT 59802

Black Coffee Roasting Company

525 East Spruce Street, Missoula, MT 59802

The M

Missoula, MT 59803

Great hike to get an excellent view of Missoula! Short, and up!

Bison Range

Dixon, MT 59831

Drive around in a big loop, see some wildlife (or just some great views!). The Bison Range is a special place, and in 2020, ownership of the range was restored to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. The bison here are descendants of the free-ranging Reservation herd started by Tribal members in the 1800s when Plains bison were near extinction. If you go up for this day trip, we also recommend checking out Quinn's Hot Springs and getting ice cream at Ripples Ice Cream Parlor in Plains! It's all a drive, but it's all beautiful.

Charlie B's

428 North Higgins Avenue, Missoula, MT 59802

A great place for Cajun food (YES CAJUN FOOD) in Missoula, a great bar, and wonderful photographs of folks who spent some time drinking in this bar. True community & hospitality. Cash only.

Missoula Farmers' Market

534 North Higgins Avenue, Missoula, MT 59802

Of course we recommend the Saturday Farmers' Market. Check out the food market by the old rail station downtown (by the XXXs, you'll see!), and the People's Market (crafts galore) is just a few blocks south. There's also The Clark Fork Market, which is in the parking lot by the carousel. Tons of excellent farm & food vendors here, too! https://www.clarkforkmarket.com/

Butterfly Herbs

232 North Higgins Avenue, Missoula, MT 59802

Come for the wedding, stay for the Evening In Missoula nighttime tea.

Biga Pizza

241 West Main Street, Missoula, MT 59802

Naturally leavened pizza dough and local ingredients!

Draught Works

915 Toole Avenue, Missoula, MT 59802

Good brewery with plenty of seating, food trucks, and often, live tunes!

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

5705 Grant Creek Road, Missoula, MT 59808

This place is amazing! An educational center for elk conservation & general wilderness! Some enormous bull elk on display as well as other critters from the Rocky Mountains.

Missoula Club

139 West Main Street, Missoula, MT 59802

Great burgers. Great for GRIZ fans!! Cash only, there’s an ATM inside.

For all the days along the way
