From Hinge to Hitting the slopes

It all started with a swipe. After countless passes on Hinge, we finally matched. Our first date? A drink at The Bird, a true Jackson classic. It could have been just another meetup, but something clicked. Slowly but surely, our story unfolded. Then came the first kiss— it waited until after a rugby tournament, when I had a black eye to show for my efforts. Romantic, right? From that kiss, everything seemed to fall into place. Over the next three years, we built a life filled with adventure. From exploring new countries to camping, skiing, climbing, biking, and watching football, we grew closer with every shared experience. It wasn’t just about the big adventures, though—it was about the support, love, and growth we found in each other along the way. And some of our favorite moments were the simple ones—like taking our pups, Cole and Shelby, out for walks. It was during one of those walks that Mark proposed. Along the river, with the Tetons as our backdrop, Mark proposed. Cole proudly carried the ring, while our friend Jen hid in the bushes, camera in hand, ready to capture the moment. Or so we thought. Turns out, Mark had her hiding in the wrong spot. But honestly? It couldn’t have been more perfect—just like us. A little unconventional and full of heart. This past year has been a big one for us. We got engaged, bought our first home together in Bend, and both started school this fall—Mark diving into nursing and me pursuing my masters of social work. Now, as we look forward to the future, we want to celebrate where it all began: our shared love of the outdoors, skiing, and the people who mean the most to us. Join us for a day full of fun, laughter, and love as we bring our friends and family together for a celebration that reflects all the things that make our life together so special.
