We recommend Uber given its accessibility and affordability. • From airport to AC Hotel: ~15$, 16 min drive • From Stella Maris church (Condado) to Casa de España (Old San Juan): ~10$, 10 min drive • From Condado to Isla Verde Beach: ~12$, 10 min drive • From Isla Verde Beach to Old San Juan: ~15$, 15 min drive

Balneario Isla Verde
Our favorite in the area. Large beach with soft white sand and calmer waters. You can rent an umbrella and 2 chairs for 20$. It has food options at nearby hotels.
El Morro
Fortress constructed (1539-1790) by the Spanish for its strategic military location. Entrance pass: 10$. You can also do kite flying!
Viejo San Juan
OSJ has it all! Historical buildings, museums, restaurants with amazing food, bars, and nightlife!
Balneario El Escambrón
It's a beautiful beach, but smaller than Isla Verde and it can get crowded. You can rent an umbrella and chairs for 30$. People say it's great for snorkeling!

El Yunque National Forest
For the hikers/nature-lovers. Recommend booking tours from San Juan to El Yunque via TripAdvisor, San Juan Tours or Viator. There's also ATV and horseback riding tours near the area.
Condado Beach
Would AVOID the water due to strong rip currents. If staying in Condado, recommend La Playita (little beach) del Condado nearby (very small, often crowded) or a short Uber ride to Isla Verde beach or Balneario El Escambrón
Laguna del Condado
Paddleboarding and Kayaking in the calm water of Condado Lagoon. San Juan Paddleboarding offers board rental and kayaks. No reservation required. Open 7d/week from 9:00-5:00 PM. Can also book online with other companies.
