We first met at Fort Washington Elementary School and were in the same 4th grade class. Despite being classmates and living a six minute walk apart from each other for years… we still managed to never actually speak. We eventually went on to different high schools. Upon graduation, we both enthusiastically left Fresno to pursue bigger things. Alex achieved her life long dream of going to UC Berkeley and Carter joined the Army, giving him the opportunity to travel the world for work. Alex was not surprisingly very involved with Cal Spirit while at UC Berkeley and met Carter’s older sister Tiphanie. On Christmas Eve, Alex was in the hospital on a lot of pain medication, scrolling social media as you do when you’re bedridden during the holidays. Alex saw that Tiphanie posted a picture of her brother Carter—with increased bravery that only comes from modern medicine, messaged her saying he was cute. Tiphanie told Carter about this and so he messaged Alex the next morning and they hit it off immediately. Two weeks and hours of FaceTime calls later, Carter flew down from Seattle to Fresno to meet Alex in person. Carter and Alex have been traveling back and forth all over the West Coast every other weekend since. Carter proposed to Alex in Vegas on June 20th in Vegas where they will get married on August 9th! We can’t wait for you to join us in starting this next chapter of our love story!
7:00 pm - 7:30 pm
8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
In the words of the King himself, “We’re caught in a trap”… of heat! August in Vegas is hot, hot, hot—expect daytime temps around 100–110°F (38–43°C). But don’t worry, most venues (ours included!) are well air-conditioned, and the evenings can feel “a little less conversation, a little more hydration.” We recommend lightweight, breathable clothing and plenty of water if you’re exploring the Strip. Elvis might’ve been burning love, but we don’t want our guests to be!
In true Vegas fashion, the city will be buzzing on Saturday night—so don’t get all shook up in traffic! Please plan to arrive at the Little White Wedding Chapel no later than 6:45 PM so you don’t miss the moment we say, “uh-huh-honey, I do.” We recommend hopping in an Uber or grabbing a cab from your hotel—just don’t gamble on timing. A quick 15–20 minute ride can turn into a full-blown Strip-side odyssey thanks to Saturday night gridlock, bright lights, big shows, and Elvis impersonators around every corner. Pro tip from The King himself: know where your hotel’s rideshare pick-up zone is so you’re not sprinting in stilettos through the casino. We want our guests to feel fabulous—not frantic. Let’s get to the chapel on time, hunka hunka burning love style. Viva Las Vows, baby!
This ain't no ordinary venue—The Little White Wedding Chapel is pure Vegas legend, home to rock stars, movie stars, and now... us! Carter and Alex will be arriving early to take care of check-in and marriage paperwork, but we recommend our blue suede inner circle (that’s you!) arrive no later than 6:45 PM. Our ceremony starts at 7:00 PM sharp, and just like any headliner on the Strip, we can’t hold the show for late arrivals. The Chapel has a packed schedule and plenty of lovebirds lined up, so let’s keep things running smoother than Elvis’s hair gel. Don’t worry—there are air-conditioned lounges and shady spots on-site to keep you cool while you wait for the big moment. Come early, come fabulous, and get ready to witness a little less conversation... and a whole lotta love.
