For day one, consider lighter colors such as yellows, creams, mint, and tan. For day two, it's time to break out those jewel tones! Think amethyst, emerald, sapphire, topaz, golds and silvers. We're looking for those rich bold colors that make you feel like royalty.
Day One, with cultural rituals and welcome party, is semi-formal. Examples of dress include long dresses or skirts, cholis or lehengas, khakis with a button up or kurtas. Day Two, the day of the wedding, is formal. More traditional clothes are worn for the Indian wedding ceremony. Women can wear gowns, lehenga/choli, anarkalis. Men can wear suits, kurtas, or simple sherwanis. The Western wedding ceremony is also formal where suits, gowns, lehengas or kurtas are expected. Reminder that all events will be taking place one after another. You are welcome to change for each event, however, it is not necessary.
Wear whatever you like! This will be a multi-cultural event expanding across two days with plenty of opportunities for outfit changes. We request that you keep it within the semi-formal to formal range but Indian, Western, or Indo-Western garb is welcome! The Vidhi is a series of events/ceremonies (Ganesh Sthapana, Mandap Muharat, Grah Shanti, Varadh, Pithi) that take place the day prior to the wedding. The ceremonies can include prayers, rituals, and other traditions and will be hosted by Nikunj's parents, Mr. Rasikbhai Prajapati & Mrs. Jyotika Prajapati, at Nik's childhood temple.
A Sangeet is a pre-wedding celebration in Indian weddings that focuses on music and dancing. Come ready to enjoy music, dance performances, and food rich in Indian culture and love.
