We’re Getting Married!!

How it all started... Bobby and I have been colleagues for many years. We really became friends in 2022 when he decided to leave the partnership at his law firm. In January 2023, Bobby was NOT celebrating his birthday so I told him when I returned from out of town I would take him to dinner for his birthday. I insisted. Anyone who knows me knows I am about celebrating birthdays! So, on Saturday, January 28, 2023 we agreed to have dinner. I called him around 7pm and honestly I had made no plans (lo siento). Bobby asked where we should go? Anyone who knows Bobby knows he ALWAYS has a plan. We decided on La Colonial in the River Oaks District. We both arrived and Bobby asked if it would be okay to order the fish for two- the whole fish. He said if it made me uncomfortable (because we were friends and not on a date) that would be okay too. Of course I said, "it's your birthday dinner! Get whatever you want". PS. Bobby ended up paying for dinner. (also lo siento). We had the whole fish and it was great! Across the table Bobby randomly starts making flirty-eyes at me. No reason except in hindsight I think it might have been the fish?!?! Anyway, I asked "why are you looking at me like that?" He replied, "like what?!" I told him to stop and blushed because it was aggressive! After a few minutes of what I would call weirdness at the table, Bobby said he was going to the restroom. He gets up, kisses me!! and leaves me sitting there. I literally looked around the room to see if anyone saw it because it was UNBELIEVABLE! Anyway, later Bobby said he thought there was a 50/50 chance I would still be at the table when he returned. Well, I was and no I didn't give anything to him on his "move" and instead I made him make the next move as well. The rest, as they say... is history. As they also say, life happens when you're not paying attention and while no one was paying attention we feel in love. We have been together - and I mean inseparable - ever since.
