Our Story
Picture this! We are back in 2015 during a cold midwest winter at the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Technical Communication's night class at 8PM. Carly is already seated 10 minutes before class in the very front row (typical Carly). Chris walks in 2 minutes after class and sits in the back row (typical Chris). Carly turns to see who could possibly be late to class and first notices the bright blue eyes of her new classmate with his matching blue Rangers winter hat. By happenstance, they get paired together for a presentation which opens the door to exchange phone numbers. Over time, they connected over their love for cats, trying new restaurants, and the thrill of zooming around on Chris's mopeds (RIP to the many stolen haha). Fast forward to now, 10 years later, they continue to push each other, surprise each other, and take on new adventures with each other (and their cats)! We are so excited to celebrate with everyone at one of our go-to tapas and cocktail spots in a city that means so much to us! (Bonus fact: Carly and Chris got engaged in Madrid, Spain--so fitting!)

Cocktail Attire: Women--Wear cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits; Men-- Button up shirt and/or suit jacket with dress pants.
When should I arrive for the ceremony? Please arrive between 4:50-5:00 PM for start time shortly after 5 PM. Directions to the venue: Enter off of West Bruce Street. You can either check in directly at the hostest stand or take the stairs on your right up to the venue. The venue is called "The Rooftop". There is also an elevator entrance, please inquire with the hostess when you enter if you require elevator assistance.

Dinner includes appetizer tapas, followed by main course tapas and paella, with a grand finale dessert!

Our registry is attached. Due to our upcoming move, we would appreciate any contributions to the Newlyweds Fund or some of the few items on the registry.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony is scheduled to start promptly at 5PM. Therefore, please arrive by 4:45PM.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code is cocktail attire. Women: dresses (maybe a jacket if the ceremony is on the patio); Men: Nice pants and a button up shirt (suit coats or peacoats are welcomed!)

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is limited street parking around the venue. However, we would recommend Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the venue. If you are staying at Iron Horse, it is a short walk to the venue (0.2 miles).

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
There will be a rehearsal dinner on Friday evening and anyone in town is welcome to join. However, we would appreciate an RSVP with your RSVP to the ceremony and reception!
