We first met one summer night right before Josue left for a 28 day wrestling camp. I was hanging with Corey and the boys came to pick him up to hangout one last night before their flight in the morning. That was the first night I met Josue. Something about him caught my eye but then he was away for 28 days and I wouldn’t see him again until right before school started.
So by this point I obviously thought Josue was cute and I mentioned it to Corey. Now Corey being Corey, he couldn’t leave it alone. He decided to go and tell Josue. This prompted Josue to ask me to the homecoming dance. Our first picture together is from this evening.
After homecoming, I was upset with Josue because we didn’t go together but something about him still kept me intrigued. Josue use to tell me I was a chicken and wouldn’t do anything to prove that I liked him. So one night I was out driving with Nicole and we had just left Burger King after getting our BK Mocha Joe and our cheesy bites. Josue texted me and he kept telling me that I didn’t like him and that I was all talk. So I made Nicole drive over to his house. I made him come outside so we could talk. We sat in Nicole’s car when Josue threw a tantrum and stormed off. I was sick of him telling me that I wasn’t proving that I liked him so I made the first move. As he was walking back up towards the house, I called him back and I kissed him.
After I finally proved that I liked him we would talk at night on the phone and then also through aim all the time. Josue kept bothering me now to go out with him but I didn’t want to. So on November 8th he asked me again on aim and asked why I was making him wait so long to say yes. Now at this point I have watched one to many love movies and I kept telling him that if he wanted it so bad he would just wait. I was just all talk though cause 10 minutes after he asked, I told him fine we can be official and told him not to tell anyone. Which anyone who knows Josue knows that didn’t last cause Corey knew just shortly after.
After making me wait 10 years, Josue finally decided that it was time to take our relationship to the next level. On the night of our ten year anniversary, Josue took me back to where it all started, Port Chester High School. He proposed at the steps where we used to do the homecoming pep rally. Instead of cheerleaders and football players lined up there was red rose petals and balloons spelling out “Marry Me?” Josue and Jackson met me at the top of the steps with a ring pop. I said yes because I figured he wouldn't ask again and I didn’t want to wait another 10 years.
