November 2019 started off terrible. My grandfather had passed early in the month and I was completely heartbroken. My birthday was heavy and then Thanksgiving was even heavier. Shelby called me on Thanksgiving and asked me to ride with her to take P to meet her dad for Thanksgiving. On the way home, Shelby saw a good-looking guy on Snapchat that she just had meet. So I tagged along with her to a party (yes on Thanksgiving night.) It ended up not being a party. Our married friend, Adam, was hanging out with his neighbor (the cute guy) talking about hunting. Jesse just so happened to be cute guy’s across the street neighbor and he heard there were girls. So he poured himself a wild turkey drink and walked over. As he walked in we locked eyes and it was love at first sight! JUST KIDDING. I was judging Jesse hard. He was 1. Drinking Wild Turkey (okay Herb Kellehar) 2. He had a scraggly beard 3. He had on a camouflage hoodie. I was not interested in a country boy. I was looking for an international man of mystery with a passport to the world. THEN he smiled at me. I saw those beautiful straight white teeth. Whew weeee! After that I looked past the messy beard and into his sky blue eyes. “Okay fine” I’ll speak to him. Jesse Ray Williamson proceeded to massage my feet for probably an hour. Y’all my FEET! He rubbed the dirty feet of a stranger wearing flip flops!!! I may or may not have repaid him with a kiss. I gave him my phone number and he text me a few days later. I was so excited when his name popped up in my phone. I knew very early on that our relationship was going to be something special. *Adam and cute boy are now my neighbors.
