First the Cape of Storms, then the Cape of Good Hope and then the Mother City — names given to the same place by those who sailed by and settled here. Cape Town (and surrounds) retains elements of all that these names suggest. It is a beautiful conflux of mountains and oceans (two of them), cultures and histories, plant and animal species, city life and hinterland. It is Stephen’s hometown. The place from whence he came. It is home and family and the smell of mountains mixed with salty sea and fragrant fynbos pollen grains. At once infuriating and serene, modern and from a time long past, we offer it to you as a unique addition to your bucket list — a visit you are unlikely to forget and one you would dearly love to repeat, despite the plane hours and inverted nights and days. Come, all, and let us show you home on the far side of the world.
Beloved friends and family, please join us at the south(west)ern tip of Africa and share in our delightful day of arcadian nuptials set amongst folded mountains and early autumnal vines. There will be lawn games — and one of those storied South African “braais”.
