As some of you may already know our wedding will be a bit less traditional than most weddings. We’ve created this website to fully explain everything that will be happening on our wedding weekend and what you can expect. This website will also help you to respond, book your cabin, locate our registry, and learn all about this epic weekend.
We have arranged for the exclusive use of Camp Canadensis, a summer camp located on 1,000 acres in the beautiful Pocono Mountains and have planned an entire weekend full of fun for our family and friends. We would love nothing more than for our guests to join us for our weekend-long celebration. We will be covering the cost of our guests to stay in the cabins from Friday through Sunday; meals, open bar, and camp activites are also included. We are looking forward to kayaking, volleyball, rock-wall climbing, archery, arts & crafts, a waterfall hike, swimming in a heated pool, color war and anything else you may have missed if you were not sent to camp as a child. That said, we will share some sleeping alternatives for those who choose not to stay with us at the camp. (Boooo! Ha-ha.)
Below is a checklist of things to remember to bring. If you forget any items, we will have a “Camp Supply Station”, location TBD. 1. Bathing suit and towels: there is a heated pool that will be open during select times of the day. 2. Linens: fitted and top sheets, blankets ( for twin size beds), pillows, and towels for all persons in your attending party. 3. Basic toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, soap, blow dryers, curling irons, etc. *** Bonus Items*** - Beach/camping chairs- Most cabins have nice porches that overlook the lake and you could use them for lounging around the beach, pool, and bonfire - Fishing equipment: we will have access to a private 75-acre stocked lake. - Any special snacks or beverages you may want. We will have a full open bar with both dinners. We will have a selection of snacks, drinks, wine, and beer available in-between meals, but you’re welcome to bring your favorite booze or snack if you’d like! (There won’t be bunk inspections.)
House Or Rental
In the summer months the camp hosts hundreds of children so many of the cabins are built to sleep up to 18 guests. Fortunately, there are many cabins available to us and sharing will be kept to only those people in your family unless otherwise requested. You are welcome to share with other specific guests if you want, just leave a note when you RSVP. Each cabin comes with multiple full bathrooms with continuous hot water (tankless!), the cabins are pretty rustic but very clean and well-maintained. Since our hopes are that you stay with us at the camp, we have chose not to do any room blocks but will add several alternatives below.

Maid of Honor
Sarah or as Danielle likes to lovingly call her " Brat Face" is currently in her master's program at FIU. She is smart, loyal, sassy, a little shy, and has a big heart she keeps hidden from most. Danielle honestly couldn't be more proud of the young woman she has become. One of their favorite things to do together is to be sporadic and go galavanting. Danielle would share a funny story but Brat Face probably wouldn't talk to her for a week. Favorite Memory: Midnight Walmart trips
Best Man
Being my eldest son and namesake, Andrew is with out a doubt my “mini me”. He was and continues to be the spitting image of me in my youth. I can’t tell you how many people who have come up to me over the almost 15 years he has been here and said he is definitely my kid. Granted he has much more hair than I do at this point but I had hair like that when I was younger. Being my mini me has also has been granted; for better or worse, the superpower of sarcasm…It’s how we hug!!
Flower Girl
Valentina is the definition of an extrovert. Slightly sassy a little and sarcastic, just like her mom, she is always getting a laugh out of Lou and Danielle. Her favorite things are animals, talking, the beach and her loved ones
Ring Bearer
Sweet and compassionate are words that best describe Francesco. Naturally inquisitive he is always trying to find out how something works and why. His Favorite things are the beach, legos, and his friends and family
Bridesmaid
Alicia is in the US Army and has done several tours overseas. She is currently engaged and is set to marry Nicole ( whom Danielle and Lou both approve of ) in March of this year. Danielle and Alicia met about 20 years ago via the phone through their mutual friend Rosie and have been close ever since. From Hookah to horseback riding to Haunted houses there isn't much they aren't willing to try together, which says a lot because Alicia tends to be more reserved than Danielle. Danielle is most likely to force Alicia to leave her house and join her in some random commotion, whereas Alicia is most likely to be the voice of reason. Favorite Memory: 2 AM Dinners
Bridesmaid
Erin is a mom to a beautiful little boy named Jacob. Erin and the bride met in their 20's randomly at a nightclub. Through the many drunken adventures and sober escapades of their early 20's to the heartbreaks, challenges, and growth of their 30s, their friendship has always remained strong . Funny Story: If you know the bride well then you know she can be whimsical at times and in turn, she is always losing everything, cell phones, the remote control, car keys, and any other small trinket you can think of. One of the things she lost regularly was her chapstick. so everytime she got into a car with Erin , Danielle would "borrow" Erin's chap stick. so this one time, Danielle "borrowed" her chap stick her lips started to tingle, and then both her lips and tongue went numb. Danielle began saying things like " eww eww, what is this" , and" Oh oh oh what is going on !!" " Wait, I can't feel my face" " Is this poison" The whole time Erin was laughing so hard she cried. it turns out Erin had put Orgel on the tip of her chapstick as payback for " borrowing it ". To this day Danielle still asks "Is this poisoned" before she borrows anything of Erin's.
Bridesmaid
Jessee and Danielle are childhood friends who met when Danielle was in 3rd grade. Danielle remained close friends with Jesse as well as her sisters Jen and Jeana. Growing up the three of them were inseparable but it was Danielle and Jesse that always got into trouble together. When 1 of them had a bad idea the other was there to try it out. Fun story: Around 6th or 7th grade Danielle and Jesse decided they wanted to start working out. That summer they did all the usual exercises, crunches, bench presses etc. but they spent hours using an infomercial device called the thigh master. The results of their efforts were giant-sized rock solid thighs. Frustrated by these results they decided to increase their efforts by spending more time using the thigh master in order to " slim and better tone their thighs" . It wasn't long before they were ripping jeans and shorts with their thighs left and right. By the time school started Danielle had to go up to 2 full pants sizes and have her waist taken in just to get pants that would go over her thighs.
Bridesmaid
Mother to both the ring bearer and the flower girl; Chele and Danielle met around 20 years ago, early into Chel's teaching career. Michele is and has always been a low-maintenance friend, meaning, life is busy and a month or 2 may pass but 1 phone call and you pick right up where you left off. She has always been there for me during hard times, offering a place to stay, a shoulder to cry on, and sound advice. Favorite Memory: Sleepovers at Chels Union House
Something Blue
Rosie is a kaleidoscope of personalities with her vibrant energy and dramatic nature, she brings a unique flair to every moment. Anyone who knows these two well knows how different they are and may be left wondering how they became so close. Fiercely loyal and endlessly supportive ( and a little crazy), are words that Danielle would use to describe Rosie; when she cares for someone she does so with her whole heart.
Groomsman
Joe is our “bus driver”. When he is on the prowl no one Is safe from being tossed under the bus no matter what the consequences are. When I need a hand with any project Joe is my go- to son. He always shows interest in our projects. Whether building a crazy Halloween display or building a laundry rack for someone special, Joe always wants to help. I honestly think he just likes to play with power tools but what guy doesn’t.
Groomsman
Nicky is the youngest of my sons and as such might get away with the most. He amazes me with his patience, love and affection of our dogs, Mr. Troubles and Kenzi. If a dog goes missing, all I need to do is find him. Nicky is an “old soul”. Every so often he comes out with something wise beyond his years that simply amazes me. He is also a cuddle monster and I often find him on the couch with Danielle and the dogs watching TV.
