Sunrise SUP Session

6:30 am - 9:30 am

Location TBD

Swim suit, rash guard, hat, booties (if you have them), towel, beach chair, sunscreen, water.

We've changed the format of the Wednesday morning activity from a surf session to a stand up paddle (SUP) session. Weather and ocean conditions permitting, we would love for you to join us for a sunrise paddle session! Location TBD, but will likely be either Kamaole Beach 1 in Kihei, Ulua Beach in Wailea, or Wailea Beach (in Wailea). The three beaches are all within 10 minutes of each other. We'll share updates in the WhatsApp group as the date approaches, so please stay tuned! We're planning on renting eight SUPs to take out on a rotating basis. For those joining us at sunrise, there will be a quick instruction by our guy, Alex, at Maui SUP Rentals. No set end time for the paddle session, but anticipate around 9:30 am.

YOU MUST ARRIVE TO CEREMONY VIA THE PROVIDED SHUTTLE. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE OR UBER TO THE CEREMONY SITE. SEE FAQ FOR FURTHER DETAILS. Monte Carlo Dress Code: Picture the elegant glamour of a Mediterranean soirée meets the breezy sophistication of a Hawaiian waterfront celebration. Ladies should wear long or floor-length dresses in luxe fabrics—think flowing silks, shimmering metallics, or embellished evening wear that catches the light. Gentlemen should embrace refined elegance in well-tailored tuxedos, sleek suits in elevated fabrics and cuts, or chic monochromatic ensembles with open collars that feel polished yet relaxed. Dress with intention: colors, sparkles, and shine are encouraged as we celebrate in style against the stunning Maui backdrop. Things To Do

Mama's Fish House

Mama's Fish House

799 Poho Place, Paia, HI 96779

Best food on the island. It is pricey, but worth it if you can get a reservation. They take limited walk ins for the bar area if you get there early.

Kihei Caffe

Kihei Caffe

1945 South Kihei Road, Kihei, HI 96753

Amazing breakfast spot. Cash only! For those joining the surf morning on 4/1, we'll be right across from Kihei Caffe, so plan to get breakfast here after.

Maui Brewing Co.

Maui Brewing Co.

605 Lipoa Parkway, Kihei, HI 96753

Great local brewery. The Kihei location is closest to Wailea & Kihei hotels.

Baby Beach, Sprecklesville Area

Baby Beach, Sprecklesville Area

207 Kealakai Place, Paia, HI 96779

Family friendly beach on the north side of the island. Park at: 207 Kealakai Pl, Paia, HI 96779. Try and arrive early as winds can pick up late in the morning. The baby beach areas has a protected pool which is awesome for kids.

Olowalu (Olowalu) Mile marker 14: Snorkeling

Olowalu (Olowalu) Mile marker 14: Snorkeling

Coordinates: 20°48'32.8"N 156°36'22.4"W Mile Marker 14 is the common nickname for a beach in Olowalu, on the west side of Maui which we believe is the best snorkel spot for beginners. If you can get out there early to mid-morning it is usually glassy calm water. You can find it by looking for the “14” mile marker sign between Lahaina and the cliffs that separate west Maui from central Maui. It’s seven miles south of Lahaina on the Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30). The water is shallow close to shore and is calm on most days (usually most calm in the mornings). Be careful not to step on or touch the coral reef. No facilities. No turn lanes or paved parking, so watch for traffic when turning back onto the highway. You can likely rent gear from your hotel, or ask them where to get it. Highly recommend getting a boogie board and some floats for the kids for this. It is super shallow but we want to keep the kids off the reef.

Ferraro's Restaurant & Bar

Ferraro's Restaurant & Bar

3900 Wailea Alanui Drive, Kihei, HI 96753

This is poolside at the Four Seasons Hotel in Wailea. A favorite spot for a pupu and a drink. You can walk through the grand wailea and the take the beach path or the beach to the four seasons, it is a very nice walk.

Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice - Kihei

Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice - Kihei

61 South Kihei Road, Kihei, HI 96753

Shave Ice in Hawaii is a must.

Lineage

Lineage

3750 Wailea Alanui Drive, Wailea-Makena, HI 96753
Thompson Road

Thompson Road

Good option for a low-impact hike, as this is a paved road. Park at the start of the road. This road abuts Oprah's estate and has incredible views of upcountry and the rest of the island.

Paia Fish Market Restaurant

Paia Fish Market Restaurant

100 Hana Highway, Paia, HI 96779

Great local, fresh caught fish spot on the island. They have a location in Kihei, but Paia is a super fun town with lots of great restaurants and local shopping so recommend visiting the town regardless.

Haleakalā National Park

Haleakalā National Park

HI

From watching the sunrise across the crater, to hundreds of stunning hikes, there is so much to do here. Make sure to check out the gov. website to make sure you have the right visiting & parking permits. **Sunrise reservations book up fast up to 60 days out.

Hana Highway

Hana Highway

Hana Highway, HI

Hana and the road to Hana are stunning and beautiful and truly unique to the Hawaiian Islands. The road itself is incredibly windy and drives along the coast and drop-off cliffs. If you are prone to car-sickness, we would not advise as the drive to get to Hana from Paia is over 2 hours one way. For those who go, know this is a full day activity.

Waihee Ridge Trail

Waihee Ridge Trail

Kahekili Highway, Wailuku, HI 96793

There are two parking lots -- park at the second. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR. Or in view as cars can get broken into here. Sturdy hiking shoes are a must as this trail gets muddy. Expect epic views of the West Maui Mountains.

Kula Lodge & Restaurant

Kula Lodge & Restaurant

15-200 Haleakala Highway, Kula, HI 96790

Incredible food, especially for brunch up in Kula, and after any Haleakala morning hikes. Views of the island.

FAQs

Question

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Please see the schedule section for each event's different preferred dress code!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be outdoors with the reception to follow indoors. Please dress accordingly.

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

Due to limited spacing, we are only able to accommodate guests who are listed on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

If your invitation/RSVP includes your child's name, yes. If not, we ask that you do not bring your children to the wedding or wedding related events. As much as we love all your little ones, we want you to be able to let your hair down and celebrate with us! If you are need of childcare we recommend The Nanny Connection. https://www.thenannyconnection.com/

Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

The Maui Airport is Kahului (OGG).

Question

Should We Rent a Car?

Answer

We recommend renting a car. There is so much to explore on the island, and having the flexibility to get around is the best way to make the most of your trip.

Question

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

No, the ceremony site does not have guest parking and no ride shares/ubers are permitted.

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

We are providing shuttle transportation for the Wedding Day on Thursday 4/2 between 3pm and 3:15pm HST from either The Grand Wailea or Wailea Beach Resort to take guests up to Molokini Lookout. The drive is ~5 minutes. **No late guests will be allowed to the Ceremony.**

Question

What should we know about Wailea, the town where the wedding is taking place?

Answer

Our wedding and the bulk of our wedding events will take place in Wailea, a neighborhood on the south shore of Maui about a ~30 minute drive from the Airport. Wailea is very walkable and the two resorts where we're holding room blocks are on either side of The Shops at Wailea, a lovely luxury, open-air shopping center in Wailea and are about a 5-10 minute walk away from each other. As Wailea is more of a "Resort Town" it can be more expensive than it's neighbor, Kihei. If you're looking for a more budget friendly trip, we recommend staying at the Maui Coast Hotel in Kihei, or booking an Airbnb. **Keep in mind that if you stay in Kihei, you will definitely need a rental car or expect to use Ubers to get to the wedding events.
